Konnichiwa and Annyeong Haseyo minna-san

Hope that's correct above but what I'm saying is welcome everyone. May 10, 2019 is the first day of this blog and many may know me from 'Nao Kanzaki and Friends'... aitoda.com. There I have such a mix of things and finally decided to branch out with just a blog devoted to Japanese and Korean dramas. Will also be having some film reviews but one thing you won't see are any J-Pop idols or gravure models except for their dramas, this blog is dedicated 100% to dramas and films.

Also actresses as will be having many, many posts for them. Such as them appearing at events, mag spreads, interview pics and whatever else. So you should be seeing a lot of my bigger long time faves such as Erika Toda, Park Min-Young, Lee Yeon-Hee, Tsubasa Honda and too many others to count.

Should have done this on my Aitoda blog which is to let viewers know what's going on. Seems like a good way to let everyone know if I'll be taking a break, what to look forward to and any other tidbits.

Updating update, May 19th:

Whew, have finally finished transferring over enough posts from the Aitoda blog. May be a few here and there in the future for some new that's being introduced but there shouldn't be too many. Have also included announcers for women that I'll be posting about as my top two current faves just happen to be in that profession.

The first five episodes of '3-Nen A Gumi' have now been posted. For series over five shows will be doing two batches of them as I figure ten posts are way too many to read through during one sitting so will have the second half of the drama coming up in 2-3 weeks, highly recommend the show.

June 4th.... Have written up the recaps for episodes 7 and 8 of the '3-Nen A Gumi' show and will have those long with episode eight by June 6th. Up next for Korean dramas is up in the air but leaning towards a pair of shorter series which will be either "Splish Splash Love" or "The Universe's Star".

Minami Hamabe: Her first 'semi' intro post....

'Semi' as Minami has had about fifteen posts already though almost all have been for dramas. Still have that rule where you need to be twenty to have your own posts though it was mainly put in place for J-Pop Idols. Two months ago mentioned would be making an exception for two gals, one will be turning twenty soon and the other one is naturally Minami.
She truly is one of the finer actresses around, to me she's already such a classy young woman and gals five years older could learn a few things from her. Won't be going back in time for anything, perhaps from earlier this year but this intro is mainly for future posts and there should be a slew of them. Another thing I like about Minami is that she's never done any gravure pics or spreads, would be highly shocked if the ever does any in the future and she really doesn't need to do them.

Was first introduced to Minami in the first season of "Kakegurui" though had been aware of her. That was one of my top dramas from 2018 and there is a second season currently airing, most of today's post will be about the series and new film. But Minami also starred in the 2018 drama "Gakeppuchi Hotel" which was a decent show, she played a spunky chef in training named Haru.

Did recap most of that series but finished the entire 'Kakeguirui" show. On March 29th Minami showed off her pitching form as she threw out the first pitch at the Lotte Giants game, they're located in Chiba though she hails from Ishikawa.

Of course most of this post is devoted to "Kakegurui", while the second season hasn't been subbed yet it probably will be once the season is finished. Minami is the star of the show and plays a kind of crazed gambler named Yumeko, that first season of highly recommended.

"Kakegurui" is now also a movie, it came out yesterday and think it's a tie-in with the second season. She's been doing many interviews for the film, it's got a huge cult following though don't know if it's expected to be a hit. These are interview pics from the Live Door site.

Even more interview pics here from 'The TV'jp' site.

Minami is such a busy woman, she's now a model for two magazines though hasn't appeared in tehir issues yet. One is Non-no which are the top six pics and are from their site, also from a mag site are the bottom seven pics which are for Voce.

One small spread which is from the May 4th issue of TV Monthly.

A much larger Minami set from the May 6th issue of Big Comic Spirits as she also graced the cover. Bottom pics are from the photo shoot and there is a video for it.

The "Kakegurui" film had it's premiere on Friday but the day after Minami and her co-star traveled to Nagoya for another one.

Tomorrow or the next day will be doing another post for the premiere that features many of the others in the film, so many are faves of mine. May 3rd was the date for the official premiere which took place at TOHO Cinemas in Roppogni, shame it's going to be about eight months until we here in America will be able to view the film. There's plenty of videos for the event on YT, will have one in the next post for the film but after the pics is the movie's trailer.
