Konnichiwa and Annyeong Haseyo minna-san

Hope that's correct above but what I'm saying is welcome everyone. May 10, 2019 is the first day of this blog and many may know me from 'Nao Kanzaki and Friends'... aitoda.com. There I have such a mix of things and finally decided to branch out with just a blog devoted to Japanese and Korean dramas. Will also be having some film reviews but one thing you won't see are any J-Pop idols or gravure models except for their dramas, this blog is dedicated 100% to dramas and films.

Also actresses as will be having many, many posts for them. Such as them appearing at events, mag spreads, interview pics and whatever else. So you should be seeing a lot of my bigger long time faves such as Erika Toda, Park Min-Young, Lee Yeon-Hee, Tsubasa Honda and too many others to count. The first few weeks there many not be too many posts for new dramas as I'll be copying many recaps from the old blog along with some film reviews and actress posts.

Won't be going too far back, perhaps to 2015 with a few exceptions and will have an entire series in a row to make it easy to follow. Did find it a problem completing series at the Nao Kanzaki blog, won't be doing that here as all the series will have a post for every episode. Thanks for visiting, it'll will be a work in progress for a while here but hopefully not for too long. Comments are also appreciated, like to know your opinions on dramas and for any recommendations you may have.

News and upcoming projects

Should have done this on my Aitoda blog which is to let viewers know what's going on. Seems like a good way to let everyone know if I'll be taking a break, what to look forward to and any other tidbits.

Updating update, May 19th:

Whew, have finally finished transferring over enough posts from the Aitoda blog. May be a few here and there in the future for some new that's being introduced but there shouldn't be too many. Have also included announcers for women that I'll be posting about as my top two current faves just happen to be in that profession.

The first five episodes of '3-Nen A Gumi' have now been posted. For series over five shows will be doing two batches of them as I figure ten posts are way too many to read through during one sitting so will have the second half of the drama coming up in 2-3 weeks, highly recommend the show.

June 4th.... Have written up the recaps for episodes 7 and 8 of the '3-Nen A Gumi' show and will have those long with episode eight by June 6th. Up next for Korean dramas is up in the air but leaning towards a pair of shorter series which will be either "Splish Splash Love" or "The Universe's Star".

Ayami Nakajo: Has the honor of having the first post of the year!

You're probably wondering if ol' Nao has lost it again as there's thirty more days to go until the calendar switches to 2021! Right you are on that but a 'Nao Year' runs from December 1st until November 30th and have been doing that for a while now. Noticed some Japanese sites such as Oricon do that for their stats and such, to me it sounded like a good idea so that's how it's done here too. December usually is a slower month for happenings which is why the top twenty list is done then along with many 'stats posts' for the year and do them towards the end of the month.

Could have done this post a few days ago but waited until this new month arrived. As most followers may know one criteria for the faves list is to have six solo posts and wanted to make sure this counted for 2021. The ones done between November 20th and the 30th kind of get lost as they don't count for either year. You may think one post shouldn't matter too much but it truly does. There were two that missed by one post of qualifying for this year's list and one was Ayami, want to make sure for the first time she'll be eligible next year. If she did hit six posts for 2020 would have probably placed her from the 11th to 13th position and next year she's got an excellent chance at cracking the top ten. Shame Ayami had such a quiet stretch this year but has had four posts in the last three months, that pace would have landed her in this year's top ten which also means someone would have fallen out.

Ayami has the lead role in the "Love You as the World Ends" drama that begins in January. It's actually a two season show with the second one starting up right after the first ends, still don't understand why they weren't combined. Looking forward to the drama as her co-star will be this year's #1 on the faves list and hopefully there will be many things to post about it before it begins, of course will be recapping it and it does seem like an intense show.

With this being her fourth post in three months it obviously means there aren't as many new pics but Ayami is really moving up on my fave's lists and I do enjoy posting about her. But do have a good amount of new pics, probably close to forty which is darn good as her last post was just two weeks ago. Also have a few oldies from the CanCam magazine site, Ayami has been a model with them for quite a few years but hasn't had too many recent site pics.

More Ayami modeling pics which are recent ones for GU.

Not much info on that drama yet as the start date is about seven weeks off. Hopefully Ayami can find some time to film the drama as it could take her so long to count her X-Mas gifts! Just one from Nao and she looks amazed(shocked?!) at what it was....

Ayami hasn't appeared in too many dramas the past five years as she was probably concentrating more on her modeling career. But she has been in a good amount of movies and usually has the lead role in them. Her latest came out on November 13th and is titled "Flight on the Water" and she also has the lead in that film. Here's some new interview pics for it from the Biz/Spa site.

Ayami has been a model and spokesperson with Kate Tokyo for many years now and her pics with them are my faves from her. Not many new ones from them today but she did attend a mini event on November 25th to promote a new line of makeup items based on Japanese folk tales(!).

That 'event' was actually a TV show, the video is on YT but it being 56 minutes long won't post it. Will have a different Ayami video after the pics which is a short one for the January issue of 25ans which is a wedding mag. She's the cover girl for their January issue but why such a small spread? That's the first four pics while the others are from the January edition of Ginger, they're the first two spreads from 2021 that have ben posted.
