Konnichiwa and Annyeong Haseyo minna-san

Hope that's correct above but what I'm saying is welcome everyone. May 10, 2019 is the first day of this blog and many may know me from 'Nao Kanzaki and Friends'... aitoda.com. There I have such a mix of things and finally decided to branch out with just a blog devoted to Japanese and Korean dramas. Will also be having some film reviews but one thing you won't see are any J-Pop idols or gravure models except for their dramas, this blog is dedicated 100% to dramas and films.

Also actresses as will be having many, many posts for them. Such as them appearing at events, mag spreads, interview pics and whatever else. So you should be seeing a lot of my bigger long time faves such as Erika Toda, Park Min-Young, Lee Yeon-Hee, Tsubasa Honda and too many others to count. The first few weeks there many not be too many posts for new dramas as I'll be copying many recaps from the old blog along with some film reviews and actress posts.

Won't be going too far back, perhaps to 2015 with a few exceptions and will have an entire series in a row to make it easy to follow. Did find it a problem completing series at the Nao Kanzaki blog, won't be doing that here as all the series will have a post for every episode. Thanks for visiting, it'll will be a work in progress for a while here but hopefully not for too long. Comments are also appreciated, like to know your opinions on dramas and for any recommendations you may have.

News and upcoming projects

Should have done this on my Aitoda blog which is to let viewers know what's going on. Seems like a good way to let everyone know if I'll be taking a break, what to look forward to and any other tidbits.

Updating update, May 19th:

Whew, have finally finished transferring over enough posts from the Aitoda blog. May be a few here and there in the future for some new that's being introduced but there shouldn't be too many. Have also included announcers for women that I'll be posting about as my top two current faves just happen to be in that profession.

The first five episodes of '3-Nen A Gumi' have now been posted. For series over five shows will be doing two batches of them as I figure ten posts are way too many to read through during one sitting so will have the second half of the drama coming up in 2-3 weeks, highly recommend the show.

June 4th.... Have written up the recaps for episodes 7 and 8 of the '3-Nen A Gumi' show and will have those long with episode eight by June 6th. Up next for Korean dramas is up in the air but leaning towards a pair of shorter series which will be either "Splish Splash Love" or "The Universe's Star".

Yoona: Her first, yes you guessed it.... intro post!!!!!!!

The actual first name is 'Im Yoon-Ah' though everyone refers to her as Yoona, it's easier to type that out plus it also easier to do a search that way. Won't be posting any videos today but perhaps in the future which are musical ones as Yoona is a member of Girls Generation aka SNSD who are so immensely popular. But wonder if the word 'was' should be used as they haven't released anything new for almost two years, no news about the group disbanding but the members are getting up there in age so perhaps their Idol days are about to end.
Off the track for a few sentences but had been thinking about something just before I began this post. That's of the acting careers of Japanese and Korean Idols or mainly what the huge differences are. Think it's a proven fact the Korean Idols are so much more talented and so many have become such popular actresses, most seem to have starring roles. Plus they're so much better at acting, when I see that an Idol will be in a drama I don't bat an eyelash as it'll probably be a good show.
But the state of Japanese Idols moving into dramas and films is the complete opposite. Honestly can not think of one Idol who has become a popular actress that stars in prime time dramas, have to admit most of them just aren't that talented. If they do star in a drama it'll be a late night show that's 25 minutes long, there are some Idols that do have some talent but think viewers who don't follow
J-Pop have never heard of them. There's a few other thoughts about the differences but will stop now and pick it up in some other future post.

Yoona is a good example of someone who has transitioned over nicely to an acting career but isn't as popular as some other Idols. She will be having the lead female role in a film coming out this Summer titled "Exit" which looks to be quite an action packed film. Few other SNSD members have become popular actresses too and perhaps I'll get to them in the future. Kind of enjoying this new blog as I'm finally able to get to some gals I never had the time to post about before, sure many viewers at the Aitoda blog aren't that happy with the recent lack of posts and not enough have visited here yet.

Lot of the older intro posts used to have seventy or more pics but will try to keep these new ones smaller and today's has about fifty super duper pics. Wasn't planning on doing this post until today so don't have a huge variety of things but will in future posts, have a pair of mag spreads plus two events for today. Yoona seems to be someone that appears in many mags, more than most actresses. Won't be going in any kind of date order in these posts so have a old and new spread for today with the older one being from the November 2017 issue of InStyle.

That set above was way too small but this next one from the March edition of Elle is much bigger. Forgot to give any Yoona bio info for you viewers, not many of them yet but sure they'll eventually come. Yoona is getting up there in age as she'll be turning 29 in exactly one week, good timing for her first post. Think most SNSD members are around that age too which is getting a tad old to be an Idol. Her height is 168 cm and in her pics she does look a  bit taller than that.

On to the pair of events and Yoona does appear at quite a few of them, like so many Korean actresses she looks so elegant and classy at them. First off is this batch of pics from opening ceremony of the 54th 'Daejong Film Festival' which was held at the Performing Arts Center in Seoul. No films of her were shown as up until that point she had just been in one, the event took place on October 25, 2017.

These are some ultra superb pics to end off with and Yoona is a much thinner woman than most Idols are. Two days after that event she was at the first 'Seoul Awards' show which was held at the Kyjunghee University Peace Hall in Seoul. It's one of those awards shows for actors, singers and the like and today's honoree won the Most Popular Actress' award for her role in the "Confidential Assignment" drama. Plenty of ultra terrific pics from the show, after them is a short video from it which definitely needs to be viewed.
