Konnichiwa and Annyeong Haseyo minna-san

Konnichiwa and Annyeong Haseyo minna-san

Hope that's correct above but what I'm saying is welcome everyone. May 10, 2019 is the first day of this blog and many may know me from 'Nao Kanzaki and Friends'... aitoda.com. There I have such a mix of things and finally decided to branch out with just a blog devoted to Japanese and Korean dramas. Will also be having some film reviews but one thing you won't see are any J-Pop idols or gravure models except for their dramas, this blog is dedicated 100% to dramas and films.

Also actresses as will be having many, many posts for them. Such as them appearing at events, mag spreads, interview pics and whatever else. So you should be seeing a lot of my bigger long time faves such as Erika Toda, Park Min-Young, Lee Yeon-Hee, Tsubasa Honda and too many others to count. The first few weeks there many not be too many posts for new dramas as I'll be copying many recaps from the old blog along with some film reviews and actress posts.

Won't be going too far back, perhaps to 2015 with a few exceptions and will have an entire series in a row to make it easy to follow. Did find it a problem completing series at the Nao Kanzaki blog, won't be doing that here as all the series will have a post for every episode. Thanks for visiting, it'll will be a work in progress for a while here but hopefully not for too long. Comments are also appreciated, like to know your opinions on dramas and for any recommendations you may have.

News and upcoming projects

Should have done this on my Aitoda blog which is to let viewers know what's going on. Seems like a good way to let everyone know if I'll be taking a break, what to look forward to and any other tidbits.

Updating update, May 19th:

Whew, have finally finished transferring over enough posts from the Aitoda blog. May be a few here and there in the future for some new that's being introduced but there shouldn't be too many. Have also included announcers for women that I'll be posting about as my top two current faves just happen to be in that profession.

The first five episodes of '3-Nen A Gumi' have now been posted. For series over five shows will be doing two batches of them as I figure ten posts are way too many to read through during one sitting so will have the second half of the drama coming up in 2-3 weeks, highly recommend the show.

June 4th.... Have written up the recaps for episodes 7 and 8 of the '3-Nen A Gumi' show and will have those long with episode eight by June 6th. Up next for Korean dramas is up in the air but leaning towards a pair of shorter series which will be either "Splish Splash Love" or "The Universe's Star".

Haruka Fukuhara: Few recent smatterings....

Not that it means anything but the woman in the above post is exactly one month older. Both have also been in the top eight for the last three yearly fave's list but not much else in common nor are there any pics of the pair together. But the main difference is that the gal in the above post is kind of popular here while the same can't be said for Haruka. Last year out of the 28 women who had six or more posts Haruka's average views per posts ranked her 24th! That kind of surprises me a bit and she's been such a huge fave of mine since 2018. May not do a post for it but was thinking of figuring out what everyone's average position has been on the yearly fave's list for those that have made it three or more times.

The last three years Haruka has finished in the eighth, seventh and eights positions on the list. That's an average of 7.67 and does that mean she' my seventh biggest fave over the last three years? Hmmmm, that actually could be true and doubt if anyone else's average would be so close. Have always wanted Haruka to be a bit higher on the yearly list as she's someone who should be battling for being my #1 every year. But she just never has enough posts compared to others and that's mainly because she appears in so many dramas. However nothing at all wrong with being my seventh biggest fave over the last three years and will figure out everyone else's average for their posts.

Of course the above gal has the best position average over the last four years which is 3.5 though she's definitely my #1 of all time. Haruka has two dramas that will be airing at the same time, that's not uncommon but she has a huge role in both shows which you don't see too often. The "Shoujiki" series began tonight so haven't seen it yet but that show and her other new one will be dramas I'll be recapping and both series should be subbed. The top is a poster for the show that began tonight but there was no event for it. Bottom four pics are for a new Haruka CM for Calbee, here's the video which also has a behind the scenes segment: Calbee CM

Unsure whether I'll continue to have posts for the second season of "Yuru Caamp". Did recaps for a lead in special episode along with the first show. But have watched up until the fifth show but didn't take screenshots for any shows after the second. But if there's a gap with the new dramas getting subbed then will do a few more recaps for the series. Haruka has the lead role playing Rin who is such an avid camper. That first season was so interesting with Rin taking so many solo camping trips without her four other friends. You did learn much about Japan's resorts and geography but the second season has been slightly different. Not as many outings for Rin and there's a bigger focus on her four friends but maybe the series improves a bit after the fifth episode. These are from the second show and will play it by ear for now about doing more recaps for the drama which aired a year ago.

Not as many screenshots as I would have liked which is the main reason  for this season not being as good as the first. So while the drama that began tonight didn't have an event there was one for Haruka's other series which is titled "Imadoki no Wakai Mon wa" that begins this Saturday, another show I will be recapping if and when the subs are done. This event took place on March 20th and surprised there's no video for it. Sorimachi has the lead role in this series and he's always been one of my favorite actors, have seen him in a dozen dramas but none since 2015 so looking forward to this show.

Haruka was also at the March 21st 'Tokyo Girls Collection' show but there were so few pics from it so will skip them. This small batch is from her Instagram page and she rarely posts pics there. But the top two are from that TGC show and most Nogi fans will know who is in the top pic, the one after also has a pair of faves of mine.

For the drama that began tonight she did an interview with 'The TV.jp' site along with the star most should know, here's the link to it: The TV interview

Last off is this superb spread from the April 19th of Flash and Haruka is their cover girl. Her spreads are usually terrific but she doesn't appear in all that many, kind of odd how she's dressed in some of the pics like she is above. After the pics is another new CM which is for House.
