Konnichiwa and Annyeong Haseyo minna-san

Hope that's correct above but what I'm saying is welcome everyone. May 10, 2019 is the first day of this blog and many may know me from 'Nao Kanzaki and Friends'... aitoda.com. There I have such a mix of things and finally decided to branch out with just a blog devoted to Japanese and Korean dramas. Will also be having some film reviews but one thing you won't see are any J-Pop idols or gravure models except for their dramas, this blog is dedicated 100% to dramas and films.

Also actresses as will be having many, many posts for them. Such as them appearing at events, mag spreads, interview pics and whatever else. So you should be seeing a lot of my bigger long time faves such as Erika Toda, Park Min-Young, Lee Yeon-Hee, Tsubasa Honda and too many others to count.

Should have done this on my Aitoda blog which is to let viewers know what's going on. Seems like a good way to let everyone know if I'll be taking a break, what to look forward to and any other tidbits.

Updating update, May 19th:

Whew, have finally finished transferring over enough posts from the Aitoda blog. May be a few here and there in the future for some new that's being introduced but there shouldn't be too many. Have also included announcers for women that I'll be posting about as my top two current faves just happen to be in that profession.

The first five episodes of '3-Nen A Gumi' have now been posted. For series over five shows will be doing two batches of them as I figure ten posts are way too many to read through during one sitting so will have the second half of the drama coming up in 2-3 weeks, highly recommend the show.

June 4th.... Have written up the recaps for episodes 7 and 8 of the '3-Nen A Gumi' show and will have those long with episode eight by June 6th. Up next for Korean dramas is up in the air but leaning towards a pair of shorter series which will be either "Splish Splash Love" or "The Universe's Star".

Han Ji-Min: The massive 'An extremely overdue post'... from February 12th....

'Extremely overdue' are two apt words as this is her first post in over.... three years! Can't give any good reason for the gap as Ji-Min is someone I kind of keep up with though it certainly doesn't seem that way. She has a new drama that began yesterday and have viewed the first episode, perfect time I thought for a post then and as the title says this should be #1 of a few of them. Hope many aren't moaning about that but seems I've picked up many fans of Korean actresses and dramas recently.

Have a mish mash of things of things for today and as the title says it is a massive post as there's 85 or so pics. Some are from an event that took place a day ago though the majority are from 2018 but they're all recent plus zero have been posted here. That makes sense as this is her first post in eons, these are Ji-Min pics from 2009 and she's really changed in the past decade. To me she's changed for the better, she is one of my older faves who tops most gals ten years younger.

Ji-Min recently traveled to NYC for a film festival, her 2018 movie "Miss Baek" was shown. She gave an interview for the Screenanarchy website which is in English, here's the link:
https://screenanarchy.com/2019/02/new-york-asian-2019-interview-han-ji-min-on-challenging-society-with-miss-baek.html

If it doesn't work then just copy into your browser, always have problems inserting links....

First set of mag spreads is from the August issue of Vogue, photo shoot took place in Paris.

All of these spreads are simply superb as Ji-Min proves you don't have to dress skimpy to look like a few trillion Won. Final and largest set is from the September issue of Harper's Bazaar.

Title of Ji-Min's new drama is "The Light in Your Eyes", it airs on JTBC and began yesterday. It's just a twelve episode series so perhaps this is one I can keep up with and recap weekly. With that title you'd think it was a bit of a fluffy, romantic show and those kinds aren't my cup of tea. It does have some romance but the first episode was quite serious and it ended on a down note with an auto accident. These screenshots are from the first show, final pic is of Ji-Min's character Hye-Ja looking at a watch. Seems to be a special one as she was able to turn back time and perhaps by doing that she could prevent the accident, won't give away any more spoilers.

Ji-Min only appeared in two dramas from 2010 to 2014 but since 2016 she's been in four of them. Her 2009 series "Cain and Abel" is really worth a watch, viewed it last Summer for the first time but didn't do any posts for it. After this current drama ends Ji-Min has another one lined up which is "Spring Night" that will be beginning in May.
Guess that will mean many posts for new things plus do have many older happenings to get hopping on. Yesterday there was an event for "The Light in Your Eyes" drama that was held at the Conrad Seoul Hotel. The main cast was all there and besides her don't know anyone but it's good learning about other actors. May not be a huge ratings winner as JTBC is a cable channel.

Hmmmm, microphones can be difficult to use! Saved the best pics for last and these are some of the best ones for 2018, why was there such a long gap with her posts? On March 30th Ji-Min was at the opening night of the 'Noah's Ark' jewelry exhibition, it's a French brand, The event was held at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza in Seoul and wow(!), did she look beyond magnificent or what, wow(!) again. Plenty of sparkling pics from the event which is followed by a short video from it.
