Konnichiwa and Annyeong Haseyo minna-san

Konnichiwa and Annyeong Haseyo minna-san

Hope that's correct above but what I'm saying is welcome everyone. May 10, 2019 is the first day of this blog and many may know me from 'Nao Kanzaki and Friends'... aitoda.com. There I have such a mix of things and finally decided to branch out with just a blog devoted to Japanese and Korean dramas. Will also be having some film reviews but one thing you won't see are any J-Pop idols or gravure models except for their dramas, this blog is dedicated 100% to dramas and films.

Also actresses as will be having many, many posts for them. Such as them appearing at events, mag spreads, interview pics and whatever else. So you should be seeing a lot of my bigger long time faves such as Erika Toda, Park Min-Young, Lee Yeon-Hee, Tsubasa Honda and too many others to count. The first few weeks there many not be too many posts for new dramas as I'll be copying many recaps from the old blog along with some film reviews and actress posts.

Won't be going too far back, perhaps to 2015 with a few exceptions and will have an entire series in a row to make it easy to follow. Did find it a problem completing series at the Nao Kanzaki blog, won't be doing that here as all the series will have a post for every episode. Thanks for visiting, it'll will be a work in progress for a while here but hopefully not for too long. Comments are also appreciated, like to know your opinions on dramas and for any recommendations you may have.

News and upcoming projects

Should have done this on my Aitoda blog which is to let viewers know what's going on. Seems like a good way to let everyone know if I'll be taking a break, what to look forward to and any other tidbits.

Updating update, May 19th:

Whew, have finally finished transferring over enough posts from the Aitoda blog. May be a few here and there in the future for some new that's being introduced but there shouldn't be too many. Have also included announcers for women that I'll be posting about as my top two current faves just happen to be in that profession.

The first five episodes of '3-Nen A Gumi' have now been posted. For series over five shows will be doing two batches of them as I figure ten posts are way too many to read through during one sitting so will have the second half of the drama coming up in 2-3 weeks, highly recommend the show.

June 4th.... Have written up the recaps for episodes 7 and 8 of the '3-Nen A Gumi' show and will have those long with episode eight by June 6th. Up next for Korean dramas is up in the air but leaning towards a pair of shorter series which will be either "Splish Splash Love" or "The Universe's Star".

Sei Shiraishi: A lot of this and that.... from December 15th

Didn't put it in the heading but this is actually Sei's first post ever here, want to slow down on using 'Her intro post #?' in the titles. Have known about Sei for about a year now and what got me interested in her was the way she looks or more accurately who she resembles. To me it's Miori Takimoto and don't think I've seen two actresses who look so alike. The only difference is their age but their looks are so similar it's uncanny but nothing wrong with looking like MT.
Though I've known about her for a while held off on the first post as she was just nineteen and do have an age rule these days where you need to be twenty. Well Sei turned that age over four months ago so am a bit behind in doing this post which is okay as that means her next few won't be too long from now. She definitely has an odd name as it's one I've seldom seen and it got me thinking as to what the most common names are for the faves I post about. Don't have the numbers to back it up but to me the most common names here are 'Erika, Yui, Yuki, Yu(u)ka, Minami, Saki, Rika and Mai' though bet more names begin with Nana but have an ending such as 'se, mi, ko, etc.' to it.

The past few years have been trying to post about actresses before they become very popular, have had quite a few successes though also a few misses. Have a feeling Sei is going to become quite popular and when she becomes a star you can see you first saw her here. She has the lead female role in her next drama which is titled "I's" and more info on that later on in the post.
Sei's last drama was "Prince of Legend" which just finished it's run. The cast was 95% male as she was the only female in the show, not sure if I want to view a series where 16 of the 17 roles are of males. Pics here are from an October 23rd interview with the Hustle Press site, it was for the drama but also for her film "Shiori" which came out on October 26th.

'Prince of Legend" is also going to have a cinema movie which will be coming out on March 21st, once again she'll be the only female in the cast. Pics here are from the "Shiori" movie's October 26th premiere, next post will have pics from two more events for the film.

Mentioned that I had been waiting for Sei to turn twenty which happened on August 10th, really hoping she's someone who I'll be able to post about often in the future. On to a pair of mag spreads and she has for the May 28th issue of Big Comic Spirits.

There are a few more spreads for this year but not a huge amount of them so will save the others for future posts. Second Sei set is from edition #43 of WPB.

Sei has been doing many interviews for the upcoming "I's" drama which airs in six days. Have four pics here from the Hominis site while the others are from Walker Plus. Actually forgot to put the WP pics above as they're from an October interview for the "Shiori" film.

Most dramas or TV movies have only one event to promote it but the "I's" show has already had two of them. First batch of pics are from November 30th while the second set of pics are from a December 11th event and Sei really looks super duper in those pics. There's a video of the event but instead of having that have a new CM of Sei's for Line Music.
