Konnichiwa and Annyeong Haseyo minna-san

Konnichiwa and Annyeong Haseyo minna-san

Hope that's correct above but what I'm saying is welcome everyone. May 10, 2019 is the first day of this blog and many may know me from 'Nao Kanzaki and Friends'... aitoda.com. There I have such a mix of things and finally decided to branch out with just a blog devoted to Japanese and Korean dramas. Will also be having some film reviews but one thing you won't see are any J-Pop idols or gravure models except for their dramas, this blog is dedicated 100% to dramas and films.

Also actresses as will be having many, many posts for them. Such as them appearing at events, mag spreads, interview pics and whatever else. So you should be seeing a lot of my bigger long time faves such as Erika Toda, Park Min-Young, Lee Yeon-Hee, Tsubasa Honda and too many others to count. The first few weeks there many not be too many posts for new dramas as I'll be copying many recaps from the old blog along with some film reviews and actress posts.

Won't be going too far back, perhaps to 2015 with a few exceptions and will have an entire series in a row to make it easy to follow. Did find it a problem completing series at the Nao Kanzaki blog, won't be doing that here as all the series will have a post for every episode. Thanks for visiting, it'll will be a work in progress for a while here but hopefully not for too long. Comments are also appreciated, like to know your opinions on dramas and for any recommendations you may have.

News and upcoming projects

Should have done this on my Aitoda blog which is to let viewers know what's going on. Seems like a good way to let everyone know if I'll be taking a break, what to look forward to and any other tidbits.

Updating update, May 19th:

Whew, have finally finished transferring over enough posts from the Aitoda blog. May be a few here and there in the future for some new that's being introduced but there shouldn't be too many. Have also included announcers for women that I'll be posting about as my top two current faves just happen to be in that profession.

The first five episodes of '3-Nen A Gumi' have now been posted. For series over five shows will be doing two batches of them as I figure ten posts are way too many to read through during one sitting so will have the second half of the drama coming up in 2-3 weeks, highly recommend the show.

June 4th.... Have written up the recaps for episodes 7 and 8 of the '3-Nen A Gumi' show and will have those long with episode eight by June 6th. Up next for Korean dramas is up in the air but leaning towards a pair of shorter series which will be either "Splish Splash Love" or "The Universe's Star".

'Top Ten Faves' countdown for 2019.... #8, Haruka Fukuhara

Really been on a nice roll doing these countdown posts which I didn't think was going to happen. Reason for that is that I expected a gap between posts waiting for new pics but for the most part almost everyone has been busy and that's also the story for the next three selections. Am now about a week in front of my anticipated pace and will have the next one in a day or two.
Haruka had this spot when I did a draft of the top twenty but with all of her recent activities thought she'd move up a spot. Had all intentions of doing that but the fave she was going to flip with has been a bit busy lately so decided to leave things as they were. Also that other person has been a fave of mine for a longer time than Haruka plus is a few years older, when it's close in positions tend to favor someone I've followed longer or is older.

Knew about Haruka a bit coming into this year though not all that well. But she's had the fourth most posts this year and can see her moving into the top five for 2020 if she continues her busy schedule and it appears she will. I think she's an excellent actress and did view two dramas with her this year which were "Koe Girl" and "3-Nen A Gumi", both were superb. Have also seen her in parts of three other series and can't believe the "Cheat" drama isn't being subbed.
Just viewed her in the "Nippon Noir" series which is still airing, along with two other cast mates form the '3-Nen A Gumi' show she made a guest appearance on episode seven. Haruka's character name in the drama was Suzune and thought she did a decent job in the role, the cast was so huge it was hard for many students to have a lot of screen time. Have no idea why she and her two mates made an appearance in "Nippon Noir" as they were only on screen for 1 1/2 minutes at the most. They had met a detective who played an important part of the '3-Nen' show but they had no impact on what happened in 'NN'.
Have now watched close to three episodes of the drama and it's become more stranger than ever. Didn't start from the first episode which of course hurts a bit but though I really enjoy intense dramas this one may be too heavy in that department. There was still so much violence in this episode though I think only two killings. The one bright spot was an older man who plays a mysterious leader, that's because the actor also just did a guest spot on two shows of the "Kamen Rider Zero-One" series.

Just took those five screenshots so perhaps they weren't even on the show for ninety seconds. Now let's get to some Haruka tidbits and though she had this post coming up she just had one less than three weeks ago. But figured she's been such a busy gal there would be plenty for this post and was correct. Before I go too much further just wanted to add in that even though Haruka was eighth on the list to me she has the most attractive face of any of the twenty faves and it seems she's getting so much more attractive by the day.

Haruka's next drama will be "Loose Scan"which will begin on January 10th. It's based on a manga and it appears she has another lead role in a series. There's no busier actress around these days as it'll be her fourth drama in less than a year along with having the lead role in two films and a huge role in another one.

Those are some stills from the show's site, will have more info when it comes out. There's 2-3 huge 'Tokyo Girls Collection' shows coming up in the first two months of 2020 and really hope she makes an appearance at both or at least one of them. At the two shows she attended this year she sent me for a loop and when I talked about attractive faces....

Have a pair of new mag spreads which seldom happens. Will end off later on with the better one and this first set is from the December 3rd issue of Weekly Ascii.

Haruka's latest film is "Love and Murder of Sheep and Wolf", it came out on November 29th. Of course she did many interviews for the movie but like most actresses did most of them on the same day so was dressed the same for all of them, this set here is from the Crank site.

More interview pics from the 'Times Abema TV' site.

Still working on editing the subs for the "Kakegurui" film as I really want to view it and that series is my fave from the past two years, highly recommended if you're a 'Liar Game' fan.

Have a little bit of everything for today and though i didn't say it in the beginning this will end up being one of the bigger posts in the top twenty countdown. Haruka isn't much of an Instagram poster but these are from the past two weeks with the first two being from the set of "Cheat". She doesn't have a blog which is a shame as I'll bet her entries would be so entertaining.

As mentioned the film "Love and Murder of Sheep and Wolf" had it's premiere on November 29th, the event took place at the TOHO Cinemas in Hibiya. Looks to be an intense film and have noticed she'll do any kind of role though with her face you'd think she'd stick to fluffy roles.

Will end off with this set from the December 11th edition of Weekly Shonen. Haruka is the cover girl, it's her top spread of the year and probably her biggest one too. She'll never have a gravure video which is oki doki to me which is why she's become such a fave so after these superb pics have a video of the above event.
