You're probably thinking.... 'Grrrr, how many posts can someone squeeze out of a bloody film!?'. Good question and hopefully the answer is an endless amount though I know that won't happen. This is about the fifth post in the past month for the film, perhaps there were even more than that but this may be the final one until.... the second season's drama recaps!
The current season has about three more episodes to go and as mentioned many times none of them have been subbed yet. But the first season wasn't done until it completed it's run and expect the same thing to happen, this is too popular of a drama to be passed over. Kind of a small post today as it's for one event, have had so many interview pics, promo ones from the film and set along with many other goodies the well has been tapped but bet there's over fifty pics for any fans out there. So far not a huge amount of fans but perhaps I've developed a small cult following like the drama has
Marika looks like such a tomboy in the film but in real life she's become such an ultra cute woman as you'll see in the event pics, she turned 23 back in February. Checked the box office results for last weekend and it seemed "Kakegurui" didn't make the top ten but that doesn't mean it wasn't a hit. Bet it's budget was so much smaller than most huge theatrical films so it may not need to make as much $$ to be considered a success. And it must have done well enough as this event was to thank the fans.
There was a trio at a May 9th event which was called a 'Thank You Stage Greeting' and took place at the TOHO Cinemas in Hibiya. On hand was of course the film's main star Minami, the story does revolve around her but do like the character of Mary a bit more. Not in either season was Haruka who has crept into my current top ten, she may have the most attractive face of any young actress these days. Her character's name is Eki who is a sub leader of some cult group, the movie seems to be quite different than the drama.
Last up in these pics is Marika and as mentioned she looked so kawaii at today's event, much more so than when she was in Nogi. At the event it was announced that on May 17th there would be a special app that fans can purchase that shows additional scenes from the film along with some other interactive games and such. Plenty of superb pics of the trio here from today's event and following them is a video of it. Have left out posting Ruka pics from the premiere, plan on having another post for her very soon so plenty of those pics will be in that post.
