Konnichiwa and Annyeong Haseyo minna-san

Hope that's correct above but what I'm saying is welcome everyone. May 10, 2019 is the first day of this blog and many may know me from 'Nao Kanzaki and Friends'... aitoda.com. There I have such a mix of things and finally decided to branch out with just a blog devoted to Japanese and Korean dramas. Will also be having some film reviews but one thing you won't see are any J-Pop idols or gravure models except for their dramas, this blog is dedicated 100% to dramas and films.

Also actresses as will be having many, many posts for them. Such as them appearing at events, mag spreads, interview pics and whatever else. So you should be seeing a lot of my bigger long time faves such as Erika Toda, Park Min-Young, Lee Yeon-Hee, Tsubasa Honda and too many others to count. The first few weeks there many not be too many posts for new dramas as I'll be copying many recaps from the old blog along with some film reviews and actress posts.

Won't be going too far back, perhaps to 2015 with a few exceptions and will have an entire series in a row to make it easy to follow. Did find it a problem completing series at the Nao Kanzaki blog, won't be doing that here as all the series will have a post for every episode. Thanks for visiting, it'll will be a work in progress for a while here but hopefully not for too long. Comments are also appreciated, like to know your opinions on dramas and for any recommendations you may have.

News and upcoming projects

Should have done this on my Aitoda blog which is to let viewers know what's going on. Seems like a good way to let everyone know if I'll be taking a break, what to look forward to and any other tidbits.

Updating update, May 19th:

Whew, have finally finished transferring over enough posts from the Aitoda blog. May be a few here and there in the future for some new that's being introduced but there shouldn't be too many. Have also included announcers for women that I'll be posting about as my top two current faves just happen to be in that profession.

The first five episodes of '3-Nen A Gumi' have now been posted. For series over five shows will be doing two batches of them as I figure ten posts are way too many to read through during one sitting so will have the second half of the drama coming up in 2-3 weeks, highly recommend the show.

June 4th.... Have written up the recaps for episodes 7 and 8 of the '3-Nen A Gumi' show and will have those long with episode eight by June 6th. Up next for Korean dramas is up in the air but leaning towards a pair of shorter series which will be either "Splish Splash Love" or "The Universe's Star".

Keyakizaka46: "Zankoku na Kankyakutachi" drama episode ten recap

Start Date: May 17, 2017 on NTV, airs Thursdays at 1:00 am for ten episodes

Through every episode the only characters have been the 21 Keya members in the show. All will probably have an important moment at least once in this ten episode drama so will list all of the members who are starring in the series. These screenshots list all of the characters along with their student number, these are from the final credits while Keya's tune "Eccentric" was playing.

Thought that may make it easier for you to keep track off, can always change it in future posts such as have all 21 names written in order and may do something special at the show's conclusion.
Let's see if we can't make sense of this episode, on second the ending made very little sense to me and it appears almost any viewer who watched it. The semi cliffhanger was that #17 Yuzuki(Yurina) attained 50,000 likes which means she'll be allowed to leave the teacher's room, so far she's been the only to hit that figure but then again she's the only one who made an attempt.

But why leave the room as Yuzuki has nowhere to go plus if she departs she'll be all by herself, don't think she wants to leave the comfort of her best friend #14 Miko(Nueru). The other ten students come to life and know they must get 50,000 likes to also be able to leave the room. The total number is now eleven in the group as last episode the ten girls had run into #8 Hana(Fuyuka). She had gone with another pack of gals to find an escape route, what's happened to them is a mystery and seems none of the girls care about their fate.
On to some activities to amuse the viewers enough to reach 50,000 likes, in the beginning they only needed to hit the 10,000 mark to leave a room. These attempts were utter failures as the students tried a variety of witty comments and the 'cruel audience' didn't enjoy any of them. Can't blame the audience for not enjoying their skits as most were quite horrible and unoriginal, none of the girls came close to hitting the magic number of 50,000.

Never say die is their motto, it had better be for if they stop trying death may be what's awaiting them. On to another round of skits to entertain the audience and this time the girls tried some impersonations of some celebrities, like the first round it was a massive failure as none of them is enough close to 50,000 likes.
Someone had a bright idea and that was #21 Ayano(Risa) who actually has had a few other good ideas throughout the series. The door had been unlocked once Yuzuki obtained her 50,000 likes, it's still unlocked so why not just leave? Most of the girls agreed though a few were a bit leery leaving the room as doing it illegally might seal their doom. The majority rules though so the eleven students once again start roaming the halls looking for anyone else or to possibly escape from the school.

Least #6 Nao(Minami) had a few more lines in the last few episodes, wonder if she requested that character name for a reason? The students begin checking everywhere for a sign of life but can find nothing, it's the last we see of them except for the pair of Miko and Yuzuki who head back to the pool. There they make a bit of small talk but the conversation didn't go on for too long, Miko closed her eyes for a few seconds and when she opened them Yuzuki had disappeared.
This is where it gets extremely confusing and there are only about two minutes to go in the show. Miko heads back to their classroom, not sure who she was hoping to find but when she opened the door to the room she was told to shut it by a class of twelve students. Not just any students as the twelve in the room were the Keya's Hiragana members. This raises so many questions and possible scenarios as when this class had ended the students discovered a laptop and camera in the room!!!!

Don't know where to start as to what the conclusion of the show was really about. I have a bunch of theories and quite a few others have their own ideas what it meant at the end, some of us could be right and then again perhaps we're all wrong.
I kind of liken it to the "Shibuya 15" drama where at the end we learn Ema, who was in a coma, was able to create a virtual world with the help of her doctor. Could this be a virtual world too which Miko had created? Or it's also possible that this event with the Hiragana members is real and the other students were able to escape.
Then again maybe all of the other students were killed and this is Miko's way to atone for not being able to save them. One other thought was that this was set in the future, could she be in a time warp and has to relive that day over and over again until she gets it right? The ending was kind of a disappointment then as it left the vast majority of us shaking their heads in disbelief, maybe it's going to continued in a second season though probably not if the Kanji members have been killed. When you look up the word confused in a dictionary you'll no doubt see the title of this show....

Definitely a very perplexing conclusion which didn't pan out too well. It may have worked if that final scene started with about five minutes to go in the show so we could have figured out what was going on and had some of our questions answered.
This was a so-so series, preferred the 'Tokuyama' drama so much more and think I gave that show close to a 9/10 or perhaps that's the exact rating. Will give this one a 7.5/10, had such potential to be an exciting watch but ended up being a bit boring and confusing at the end. Of course if you're a Keya fan you'll want to watch it, it wasn't a bad series but could have been much better.
Not going to watch 'Tofu Wrestling' so guess this gets me up to date with Idol dramas. This may have been the worst one I've seen but won't call it a bad show, Idol dramas are generally enjoyable watches. To date will have to say my fave Idol drama has been "Suugaku Joshi Gakuen" which was a H!P show that aired in 2012.
