Konnichiwa and Annyeong Haseyo minna-san

Konnichiwa and Annyeong Haseyo minna-san

Hope that's correct above but what I'm saying is welcome everyone. May 10, 2019 is the first day of this blog and many may know me from 'Nao Kanzaki and Friends'... aitoda.com. There I have such a mix of things and finally decided to branch out with just a blog devoted to Japanese and Korean dramas. Will also be having some film reviews but one thing you won't see are any J-Pop idols or gravure models except for their dramas, this blog is dedicated 100% to dramas and films.

Also actresses as will be having many, many posts for them. Such as them appearing at events, mag spreads, interview pics and whatever else. So you should be seeing a lot of my bigger long time faves such as Erika Toda, Park Min-Young, Lee Yeon-Hee, Tsubasa Honda and too many others to count.

Should have done this on my Aitoda blog which is to let viewers know what's going on. Seems like a good way to let everyone know if I'll be taking a break, what to look forward to and any other tidbits.

Updating update, May 19th:

Whew, have finally finished transferring over enough posts from the Aitoda blog. May be a few here and there in the future for some new that's being introduced but there shouldn't be too many. Have also included announcers for women that I'll be posting about as my top two current faves just happen to be in that profession.

The first five episodes of '3-Nen A Gumi' have now been posted. For series over five shows will be doing two batches of them as I figure ten posts are way too many to read through during one sitting so will have the second half of the drama coming up in 2-3 weeks, highly recommend the show.

June 4th.... Have written up the recaps for episodes 7 and 8 of the '3-Nen A Gumi' show and will have those long with episode eight by June 6th. Up next for Korean dramas is up in the air but leaning towards a pair of shorter series which will be either "Splish Splash Love" or "The Universe's Star".

Jurina Matsui: "Death Cash" drama episode six recap and screenshots

Start Date: July 13, 2016.... aired Wednesday nights at 24:10 on TBS

Main Cast:

Jurina Matsui as Yuka Minami
Shigeyuki Totsugi as Takeshi Wakamoto
Rina Kawaei as Erina Hayashi(died in ep. four)
Kaya Kiyohara as Koyume Minami
Riho Yoshioka as Kazue Hagninomo(died in ep. three)
Shono Hayama as Gen Haitani(died in ep. five)
Yurika Nakamura as Mari Ueno
Toshio Kakei as Taichiro Zaitsu
.... plus many others who have or will get killed off after one episode....

As you can see by the cast list there aren't too many still alive which is why we didn't have a death this episode but can guarantee there's a few more coming up in the remaining four shows. The last episode ended off with Haitani's biting the dust as he was killed by the food he was eating! We also learned that the student's professor Zaitsu has an involvement with all of the death cash killings, more on him later.

It hasn't been brought up too often but Yuka has some special ability to sense danger and because of that has eluded a few incidents so far. However she seems to have lost that power as a sign had fallen off a roof and was about to crush her. Luckily detective Wakamoto was next to her and pushed her to safety but Yuka is wondering why didn't she sense the danger, possibly because of the death cash curse?
Yuka's feeling is that's the reason but she hasn't received any of the death cash, even if it was delivered to her she would refuse it. Yuka's remaining friend from her class is Mari who reveals to Yuka she's actually not her friend and despises her. The pair meet at Mari's small apartment, Mari comes from a very rich family but isn't fond of money and has cut the ties with her family. Besides attending the university she also works part time as a cleaner as she wants to make it on her own.
Mari even changed her name so she would have no connections to her mother who had remarried a very wealthy man. What Mari really hates about Yuka is the way she thinks she can save everyone and to her is a bit of a fake with her caring. Off the track for a few seconds but Mari is played by Yurika Nakamura who will be turning twenty next March. Don't know too much about her but will check up on her as she's really very attractive and has been in so many dramas the last few years.

Wakamoto and his partner have been the only ones at the police station who believed Yuka's story about the death cash. Wakamoto has witnessed two of her friends getting killed so they've become an unofficial team to solve the case. But now it's definitely unofficial as Wakamoto has been taken off the case by his new supervisor who is a woman named Iori.
Seems as though they have a past but it's unknown to us what it is but they have a deep hatred for each other. They have a harsh conversation but there's nothing Wakamoto can do as he's off the case but tells Yuka he'll continue working with her to solve the curse of the death cash. Yuka and Wakamoto are getting much closer despite the difference in ages, Yuka is 19 while he has to be about twice her age.
Wakamoto ends up having dinner at Yuka's apartment with her sister Koyume who tries to play matchmaker, she even leaves their place so they can be alone together. That romantic moment didn't happen as Yuka had asked about Wakamoto's younger sister, he revealed to her that she had died ten years ago but how was never disclosed. Think he may have been upset at remembering his sister and how she died so that romance is on hold for now.

Not nearly as much action as the previous shows but that was okay as we learned much more about the few remaining characters plus had a few other questions answered. The show did end off on two interesting cliffhangers with the first involving Mari and professor Zaitsu. Yuka was returning to Mari's apartment to have another serious talk with her when she noticed that Mari was meeting up with Zaitsu! This confused Yuka and us to an extent, the questions that come to mind are the pair having an affair or are they working together on the death cash killings?
Forgot to mention it but Zaitsu had come under Wakamoto's suspicion. Wakamoto broke into his apartment where he had noticed the pictures on a wall of all the students killed and a few other pieces of evidence, that discovery happened just as Mari was meeting up with Zaitsu. The other cliffhanger is(will) at Yuka's apartment as the death cash has finally made an appearance there.
Yuka and her sister had a jar full of spending money for themselves but the jar has been dwindling. Yuka's sister Koyume had wanted to purchase their dinner at the store but found there were only a few coins in the jar, that was earlier in the day. Later on looking at the coin jar again she noticed a wad of notes there and naturally thought that was the work of Yuka. We all know better though and the episode closes on that note with Koyume possibly being the next victim.

Like I mentioned above it was the slowest episode of them all and the first with no killings but the suspense was still there as it remained a very interesting series. Had wanted to finish it up this weekend, don't know if that'll happen but will do at least two more recaps by Sunday. I'm really enjoying this drama and almost can't wait for the next episode which has been rare lately for Japanese dramas. So far would give it a high recommendation, especially for Jurina fans and the theme song is SKE's single "Kin no Ai, Gin no Ai".
