Konnichiwa and Annyeong Haseyo minna-san

Hope that's correct above but what I'm saying is welcome everyone. May 10, 2019 is the first day of this blog and many may know me from 'Nao Kanzaki and Friends'... aitoda.com. There I have such a mix of things and finally decided to branch out with just a blog devoted to Japanese and Korean dramas. Will also be having some film reviews but one thing you won't see are any J-Pop idols or gravure models except for their dramas, this blog is dedicated 100% to dramas and films.

Also actresses as will be having many, many posts for them. Such as them appearing at events, mag spreads, interview pics and whatever else. So you should be seeing a lot of my bigger long time faves such as Erika Toda, Park Min-Young, Lee Yeon-Hee, Tsubasa Honda and too many others to count. The first few weeks there many not be too many posts for new dramas as I'll be copying many recaps from the old blog along with some film reviews and actress posts.

Won't be going too far back, perhaps to 2015 with a few exceptions and will have an entire series in a row to make it easy to follow. Did find it a problem completing series at the Nao Kanzaki blog, won't be doing that here as all the series will have a post for every episode. Thanks for visiting, it'll will be a work in progress for a while here but hopefully not for too long. Comments are also appreciated, like to know your opinions on dramas and for any recommendations you may have.

News and upcoming projects

Should have done this on my Aitoda blog which is to let viewers know what's going on. Seems like a good way to let everyone know if I'll be taking a break, what to look forward to and any other tidbits.

Updating update, May 19th:

Whew, have finally finished transferring over enough posts from the Aitoda blog. May be a few here and there in the future for some new that's being introduced but there shouldn't be too many. Have also included announcers for women that I'll be posting about as my top two current faves just happen to be in that profession.

The first five episodes of '3-Nen A Gumi' have now been posted. For series over five shows will be doing two batches of them as I figure ten posts are way too many to read through during one sitting so will have the second half of the drama coming up in 2-3 weeks, highly recommend the show.

June 4th.... Have written up the recaps for episodes 7 and 8 of the '3-Nen A Gumi' show and will have those long with episode eight by June 6th. Up next for Korean dramas is up in the air but leaning towards a pair of shorter series which will be either "Splish Splash Love" or "The Universe's Star".

'Top Ten Faves' countdown for 2019.... #7, the sultry Bae Suzy

Have mentioned it on a few occasions before but tend to go in streaks with my Korean dramas and actress posts. Those stretches seem to last for 2-3 months, then I get so tired of watching such long drama series tend to watch zero for a few months and when that happens don't do many posts for actresses, repeat the cycle a few times a year. But now am on the 'good cycle' which means I 'll be doing many posts for my fave Korean actresses(many moan!) and have also started on two new dramas. Will have a very short recap of one of them coming up, the other is "Chocolate" and picked that for really no good reason.

EDIT: It's the day after and forgot to add in some tidbits about previous rankings. Didn't have a list last year but had a rough one in my head for who the top ten would have been. Suzy would have been fifth, in 2017 she was 15th but was just getting to know her but that position still should have been higher. So three years in a row she's been in my top twenty and there's only four others who have been on all three lists, one has been on every list I've done.

It was a close battle for the seventh spot but felt Suzy deserved it more than the eighth place gal as I've been a fave of her for a longer time plus there aren't as many sultry woman in the world than her. But though Suzy may come off as a bit of a Dive in her pics she's really the opposite. Above is a new list that shows all of her charitable donations since 2014, she just donated 15 million won last week to the Life Share Association.
This may not be the best post to many as most aren't huge fans of Korean actresses but to me it could be one of the best plus it may be the largest. But may hold back a few pics as there should be another post for Suzy coming up at the end of next week as she has a film coming out and it's her first major movie in four years. After not doing any kind of roles in 2018 she just finished a drama, has the film coming out and is now scheduled for another drama next Spring. Few ultra hotter than hot pics to get everyone in the mood....

"Vagabond" was the title of Suzy's last drama which ended 2 1/2 weeks ago. At first wanted to watch it so badly but then lost interest a bit as some viewers were a tad disappointed in it, especially the ending but didn't read any recaps and just general impressions. But decided to skim through it and and changed my mind on that as I've viewed two shows which have both been excellent and want to watch the entire thing. Won't be recapping it as I won't be viewing the series at a rapid pace but in her posts will be having mini recap of what's taken place in a few shows and perhaps will have a few posts devoted to screenshots.
Briefly then, in the drama Suzy plays the character of Go Hae-Ri who is a INS agent stationed at the Korean embassy in Morocco, seems she screwed up at the main office and was transferred there. In the first show there was a major plane crash where 211 Korean passengers were killed, of course it happened in Morocco. The main character Cha feels a terrorist blew up the plane and against all odds somehow the terrorist was the only person to survive the crash. These screenshots are all from the second episode and what an intense show it was.

But of course by fave drama with Suzy was "While You Were Sleeping" from 2017 which may be my top drama from the past five years. Was going through some of the recaps earlier and it jogged my memory on what an intense, fast paced thriller show it was, need to view it again.

Er, um, ahhhh, kind of what I had in mind!!!!!!!!!!

Thought I'd go back a bit in time for this first batch of pics which hadn't been posted before. They're from a Burberry fashion show that took place back in October 2015 just after Suzy's 21st birthday, pics kind of leave me speechless....

Did post Suzy's spread from the October issue of Marie Claire but there are many fabulous pics from the photo shoot that were released by her Soop agency.

The past few years Suzy has released a 'Seasons Greetings' photobook but haven't heard if that'll be the case this year, think both were a tie-in with her two mini albums. Never did post the entire 2018 book as I've been having a few pics from it in her posts, these should be the final ones from it.

On to the final tidbit, while not a lot of variety there had to be eighty or so pics. The title of Suzy's next film will be "Baekdusan" that will be coming out on December 19th. Figure there will be a post for the premiere so am holding back a few things for that post. On November 19th there was a press conference for the film at the Apgujeong CGV in Seoul, it appears to be an action packed movie. Plenty of ultra superb pics here from the event but won't have a video from it. instead have a much better one from the 2017 'SBS Drama Awards' show where Suzy won the best actress award for her role in the "While You Were Sleeping" drama. I never mention it these days nor do I see it said often any more which is that she was once a member of the Miss A K-Pop group, seems like eons ago.
