Konnichiwa and Annyeong Haseyo minna-san

Hope that's correct above but what I'm saying is welcome everyone. May 10, 2019 is the first day of this blog and many may know me from 'Nao Kanzaki and Friends'... aitoda.com. There I have such a mix of things and finally decided to branch out with just a blog devoted to Japanese and Korean dramas. Will also be having some film reviews but one thing you won't see are any J-Pop idols or gravure models except for their dramas, this blog is dedicated 100% to dramas and films.

Also actresses as will be having many, many posts for them. Such as them appearing at events, mag spreads, interview pics and whatever else. So you should be seeing a lot of my bigger long time faves such as Erika Toda, Park Min-Young, Lee Yeon-Hee, Tsubasa Honda and too many others to count. The first few weeks there many not be too many posts for new dramas as I'll be copying many recaps from the old blog along with some film reviews and actress posts.

Won't be going too far back, perhaps to 2015 with a few exceptions and will have an entire series in a row to make it easy to follow. Did find it a problem completing series at the Nao Kanzaki blog, won't be doing that here as all the series will have a post for every episode. Thanks for visiting, it'll will be a work in progress for a while here but hopefully not for too long. Comments are also appreciated, like to know your opinions on dramas and for any recommendations you may have.

News and upcoming projects

Should have done this on my Aitoda blog which is to let viewers know what's going on. Seems like a good way to let everyone know if I'll be taking a break, what to look forward to and any other tidbits.

Updating update, May 19th:

Whew, have finally finished transferring over enough posts from the Aitoda blog. May be a few here and there in the future for some new that's being introduced but there shouldn't be too many. Have also included announcers for women that I'll be posting about as my top two current faves just happen to be in that profession.

The first five episodes of '3-Nen A Gumi' have now been posted. For series over five shows will be doing two batches of them as I figure ten posts are way too many to read through during one sitting so will have the second half of the drama coming up in 2-3 weeks, highly recommend the show.

June 4th.... Have written up the recaps for episodes 7 and 8 of the '3-Nen A Gumi' show and will have those long with episode eight by June 6th. Up next for Korean dramas is up in the air but leaning towards a pair of shorter series which will be either "Splish Splash Love" or "The Universe's Star".

At one time think there may have been ten or so blogs which reviewed Japanese dramas but seems these days the number has dwindled to two others besides myself. Korean dramas have definitely become more popular, I prefer most of them too but do get tired of watching such long series. However brought that up for I noticed the other two places and some that recap Korean shows can do them with very brief recaps where not every bit of info or happening needs to be explained. So going to try doing that for the remaining four recaps and the goal is to have no more than four paragraphs though many screenshots. One way to make a recap briefer is not explaining as much of what has happened. Will continue that but here's where we quickly are:

Towards the end of the fourth episode Hiromi may have learned that her father is still alive but wasn't sure if the man Koumoto is actually her father. However her alter ego Yumi knows it is and has been searching for the man since episode two to find out if he drove her mother Yukiko to kill herself. While Hiromi is quite timid Yumi isn't and has set up a plan to rob the jewelry store Koumoto owns. She's enlisted the help of a gang of girls her age who despise Yumi but once they learn about how much money they may make off the robbery they agree to help her. But Yumi had a plan up her sleeve as she wants the girls out of her way as they may disrupt her plans to take revenge on her father, what those plans are weren't revealed until this episode and that's where we currently stand.

That'll be it for what's happened and the plan that Yumi had set up, which was a bit obvious, was to have the gang of girls get nabbed for the robbery. With the help of her ally Tatsuya Yumi had obtained the key to the store along with the code to disable the security system. That seemed to put the girls at ease, Yumi opened the store for them with no problem but told them she would enter via the back entrance. That was such a lie and a good one too as after a few minutes the police raided the jewelry shop and caught the girls red handed, of course Yumi wasn't among the group.
That wasn't the whole group as Yumi had ordered the other half to stay on the roof to watch out for anything suspicious but the police had been in the building the entire time. Those girls were arrested too as the police had been tipped off, of course it was Yumi who had set up the girls to take the fall and their leader Ryouko was absolutely furious but powerless to do anything. Now with the gang out of the way it's time for Yumi to continue in her dealings with her father Koumoto but what did she have planned? Before I forget will add in that Hiromi had her best friend Jun spend the night at her house, it was set up by Yumi and it gave her an alibi if anything should go wrong.

We won't learn of what Yumi has planned for her father until the next episode, remember these shows are only a little over twenty minutes in length. Yumi is such a devious girl as it was a wise idea to have her friend Jun spend the night as the following morning the police arrived to question Hiromi. She only knew about the attempted robbery by what she saw on the news and did have her friend as an alibi that she was home all night. Hiromi's grandmother was becoming quite suspicious of Hiromi's activities and especially so when she learned the owner of the store was Koumoto. The grandmother Takako has never forgiven the man for what he did to his daughter and you got the feeling she wouldn't mind him being killed.
For now though the grandmother doesn't know about Hiromi transforming into Yumi but knows something is going on with her granddaughter from reading her diary but it's been Yumi making the entries. Haven't mentioned Hiromi's classmate Shindo this recap but he's still investigating on whether Hiromi and Yumi are the same person. He's fairly sure they are and has told that to Yumi's one friend Tatsuya who feels Shindo is full of it. As this episode came to it's close Hiromi entered the jewelry shop to get her repaired watch back, there she met her father Koumoto and the question as the show ends is it Hiromi or Yumi meeting the father?
