"Fukushuu no Miboujin" drama: Episode seven of eight recap

Main Cast: Wrote most of this up after the first two episodes and know there will be a lot of updating with these bios as many will be going... to the hospital or their graves!!!! Most of the action will be taking place at the Planning and Development section of COD Techno Services, almost all of the main cast worked there.

Wakana Suzuki as Mitsu Susuki.... Her real name is Mitsuki but shortened it to disguise her identity. She was the wife of Yugo who worked at COD but he committed suicide a year ago. Mitsu knows there's much more to his death than calling it a suicide, was Yugo so stressed out he killed himself or was he 'helped'? Mitsu is now working as a temp contractor at COD to find out exactly how her husband died, she's out for revenge! Though a very attractive woman you don't want to get on her bad side as we quickly learned.

Yasushi Fuchikami as Yugo Suzuki.... Yugo's brother who is a detective. Like Mitsu he feels there's more to his brother's death than has been revealed, he's working undercover with her to find out the truth. Like his brother Youshi has known Mitsu since they were small children, were the two ever have a relationship?

Yuta Hiraoka as Yugo Suzuki.... Of course we'll only see him in flashbacks for he died a year ago, at COD he was a team leader and had been an engineer. Seems Yugo was harassed endlessly by his manager Hashimoto and was that a main reason for his suicide? His death happened by jumping off the roof of the COD building.

Renn Kiriyama as Makoto Saito.... Very diligent worker at COD who looked up to Yugo but didn't know him well. He really respects the new contractor Mitsu who quickly became the ace of COD, wonder if we'll see him team up with her to discover the truth?

Kenshin Endo as Yoshihito Sakai... Male worker at COD, was really abused by Hashimoto.

Yuki Morinaga as Kazuya Kotake.... Inept employee who spends most of his time playing online games instead of working. The only reason Kotake has a job is because his father owns a large shipping company who COD has an account with. His game playing has affected the office performance as he uses up so much bandwidth. Haven't seen him since the second show when he was locked in an isolated room.

Sakurako Konishi as Tomomi Itahashi.... Another inept employee who pushed her work off onto others, her main passion is her cat Mocha. At the beginning of the fifth show Itabashi had resigned and it was mainly because she was scared of being hurt like the others.

Yasuyuki Maekawa as Isamu Wakatsuki.... The president of the COD company and a former star soccer player. A very intelligent man whose post sports career hadn't gone as well as it should have. That is until he met his wife Erina who is the daughter of the man who found COD and thus Wakatsuki became the president. Has had many affairs and his wife is pregnant, at the beginning of the fourth show he resigned and why is in the third episode's recap.

Rika Adachi as Saeki Maho: The secretary to the president and the pair did have an affair. Saeki is currently dating a congressman's son who is kind of a sleazy man. She was jealous of Mitsu and wanted to bring her down, needless to say that didn't happen!

Ryoko Kobayashi as Haruna Yamashita.... New worker at the COD office who we met first in the fourth episode. She's a very quiet and meek woman who has such a crush on Saito but he's rejected her advances twice. 

Satoru Matsuo as Masaya Hashimoto.... We only saw him in the first episode but his name will be mentioned often. He was the arrogant manager of the Planning and Development department whom all despised and he ruthlessly would humiliate his employees. Hashimoto may have been a key reason for Yugo killing himself but Mitsu got her revenge in the first show!

 Have the final two recaps of this series today and really zipped through this, won't watch the last episode until this post has been written up. Another fine show and all have been solid but may not have been quite as good as most previous ones. Noticed I took at least five fewer screenshots, usually the more there are means the show was very interesting. Bit of a sluggish part 2/3's of the way through though it did end on a cliffhanger but is what could happen really going to happen?

 Not too much of a cliffhanger carrying over from the previous episode but there is one main point. That being both Mitsu and Youshi believing the president's secretary Saeki may be the person most responsible for Yugo's suicide if that's how he truly died. A key bit of evidence is in the top screenshot, it's a video capture of the morning Yugo fell to his death from the roof of the COD building. It appears to be a Vaper as it's long and thin, Saeki likes objects such as ones similar to that for she has a handbag that resembles it plus she is a smoker. However on that tape that Youshi obtained it proved Saeki wasn't on the roof at the time of Yugo's death, that's a presumption that she wasn't there but she wasn't at her desk either. Of course she won't admit to anything but Mitsu had an idea, no one probably knew Saeki better than her long time boyfriend Atsushi who we think could soon be her future husband.

 Youshi has a knack for finding out anything and very quickly too, he's discovered the bar Atsushi frequents the most and with Mitsu have laid a trap for the man  there. Youshi somehow impersonated as the bartender and during a game of darts was able to switch Atushi's drink, nothing lethal in the new one but it did make him feel a bit disorientated and also more honest. When Mitsu entered the bar Atsushi immediately remembered who she was for with Saeki the trio had a dinner in the third episode. Mitsu challenged him to a game of darts and said why not do something different, the loser will always have to reveal a secret. Mitsu lost the first game and in the fourth screenshot admitted she had killed a man! That we know is true but she laughed it off as a joke, it was the last game she lost for the drug in Atsushi's drink kicked in. Soon the secrets began to come out, the first was that he had attacked a woman at Saeki's office for her but we don't know who she was. But the biggest detail revealed was that Saeki had told Atsushi to rough up her dead husband a few times which he did, that left many bruises on Yugo's face but at the time Mitsu didn't press her husband hard enough to find out the truth.

 Atsushi had learned of Yugo jumping from the roof but to him the roughing up probably had nothing to do with the suicide. Plus Atsushi was definitely not on the roof so he's not a suspect but his roughing up Yugo possibly could have been a reason if suicide was his true cause of death. After that Mitsu listened to more of the tapes she had of Yugo at his office, she had slipped a recorder into his bag. In two of the above screenshots Mitsu went into a dream state where she placed herself at the COD office, seems she works at the same desk Yugo did! He was such an efficient worker but was used by so many there to do their work and they may not have realized what their actions had been doing to Yugo. By now Mitsu is 100% convinced that the last person to see Yugo alive was Saeki but how can she prove it? With Youshi's guidance they'll find a way and the first step is in two of the screenshots above. Youshi, who has been getting so much screen time the last few episodes, disguised himself as an old classmate of Mitsu. They knew Saeki would be at a certain coffee shop and entered it while she was sitting alone, Saeki took one glance at Youshi using the name of Yagi and fell head over heels for him!

 On her table Mitsu noticed a wedding catalog, could Saeki and Atsushi after all these years finally be getting hitched? That we're not sure of but think it'll be happening, meanwhile Saeki for once is quite friendly to Mitsu at the office as she wants to get to know Yagi(Youshi) so much better. Also wanting to get to know someone better is Saito who is right above. There's a new hire at COD named Haruna Yamashita who has confessed her love to Saito but his affections lie with Mitsu! And why not as she is a very attractive and smart woman but she rebuffed the advances of Saito which I think he expected. Listening to this conversation secretly was Haruna who wasn't mad at Saito but her anger was directed at Mitsu. In the last episode Youshi warned Mitsu to watch out for that woman and he was so right with his observation. Later that night Saito was working late at the COD office and thought he was alone. Not so as to his surprise appearing out of the dark was Haruna who wrapped her arms around him, once again she was rejected by Saito and could Haruna's next act be to remove Mitsu from the picture?

 After that there was a longish flashback scene which kind of slowed things down too much but some of the details from it were a bit important. It was of the brothers Yugo and Youshi from many years ago, still can't believe they're twins and actually this flashback was what Youshi was thinking in the present day. It was before Yugo married Mitsu who had the name of Mitsuki back then. But to Yugo his soon to be wife may have liked Youshi more plus it appeared the two knew each other better, Yugo may have been right with both those observations which Youshi denied. After viewing seven episodes have gotten the impression Youshi has had a crush on Mitsu for twenty years but has never told her his true feelings, would think that Mitsu must have some inkling about his love for her. I also think they got along much better than Mitsu did with Yugo, wonder why she chose him over his brother Youshi?

 Getting down to the end as there's only two more minutes to go in this 23 minute show. That's Mitsu on the phone above talking with Youshi, after that talk I'm kind of certain she may have known about his affections. At the time Youshi was disguised as Yagi and was outside of Saeki's house ready to go on a date with her but that won't take place until the next show. Mitsu will be hiding in the wings during the date but may not make it there for as she was leaving the COD office she was stopped by Haruna, you can see that above. This woman is very quiet and meek but we all have our breaking points. Haruna's was getting rejected twice by Saito and to her it's all Mitsu's fault, she approached Mitsu and said "DIE!". After saying that word Haruna pushed Mitsu down a flight of stairs which is how the episode ended! Haven't viewed the next show but have a strong feeling Mitsu didn't tumble down the stairs, my prediction is that someone grabbed her arm and my guess it was Saito! Let's see if I'm right with that and the recap for the final show is the next post.
