Konnichiwa and Annyeong Haseyo minna-san

Hope that's correct above but what I'm saying is welcome everyone. May 10, 2019 is the first day of this blog and many may know me from 'Nao Kanzaki and Friends'... aitoda.com. There I have such a mix of things and finally decided to branch out with just a blog devoted to Japanese and Korean dramas. Will also be having some film reviews but one thing you won't see are any J-Pop idols or gravure models except for their dramas, this blog is dedicated 100% to dramas and films.

Also actresses as will be having many, many posts for them. Such as them appearing at events, mag spreads, interview pics and whatever else. So you should be seeing a lot of my bigger long time faves such as Erika Toda, Park Min-Young, Lee Yeon-Hee, Tsubasa Honda and too many others to count.

Should have done this on my Aitoda blog which is to let viewers know what's going on. Seems like a good way to let everyone know if I'll be taking a break, what to look forward to and any other tidbits.

Updating update, May 19th:

Whew, have finally finished transferring over enough posts from the Aitoda blog. May be a few here and there in the future for some new that's being introduced but there shouldn't be too many. Have also included announcers for women that I'll be posting about as my top two current faves just happen to be in that profession.

The first five episodes of '3-Nen A Gumi' have now been posted. For series over five shows will be doing two batches of them as I figure ten posts are way too many to read through during one sitting so will have the second half of the drama coming up in 2-3 weeks, highly recommend the show.

June 4th.... Have written up the recaps for episodes 7 and 8 of the '3-Nen A Gumi' show and will have those long with episode eight by June 6th. Up next for Korean dramas is up in the air but leaning towards a pair of shorter series which will be either "Splish Splash Love" or "The Universe's Star".

"Fukushuu no Miboujin" drama: Episode six of eight recap

Air Dates: July 8th until August 26, 2022 on TV-Tokyo, Fridays at 2:35 am
Also aired on Paravi in March, title translates over to Widow of Revenge
Subs were done by Blitz Fansubs

Main Cast: Wrote most of this up after the first two episodes and know there will be a lot of updating with these bios as many will be going... to the hospital or their graves!!!! Most of the action will be taking place at the Planning and Development section of COD Techno Services, almost all of the main cast worked there.

Wakana Suzuki as Mitsu Susuki.... Her real name is Mitsuki but shortened it to disguise her identity. She was the wife of Yugo who worked at COD but he committed suicide a year ago. Mitsu knows there's much more to his death than calling it a suicide, was Yugo so stressed out he killed himself or was he 'helped'? Mitsu is now working as a temp contractor at COD to find out exactly how her husband died, she's out for revenge! Though a very attractive woman you don't want to get on her bad side as we quickly learned.

Yasushi Fuchikami as Yugo Suzuki.... Yugo's brother who is a detective. Like Mitsu he feels there's more to his brother's death than has been revealed, he's working undercover with her to find out the truth. Like his brother Youshi has known Mitsu since they were small children, were the two ever have a relationship?

Yuta Hiraoka as Yugo Suzuki.... Of course we'll only see him in flashbacks for he died a year ago, at COD he was a team leader and had been an engineer. Seems Yugo was harassed endlessly by his manager Hashimoto and was that a main reason for his suicide? His death happened by jumping off the roof of the COD building.

Renn Kiriyama as Makoto Saito.... Very diligent worker at COD who looked up to Yugo but didn't know him well. He really respects the new contractor Mitsu who quickly became the ace of COD, wonder if we'll see him team up with her to discover the truth?

Kenshin Endo as Yoshihito Sakai... Male worker at COD, was really abused by Hashimoto.

Yuki Morinaga as Kazuya Kotake.... Inept employee who spends most of his time playing online games instead of working. The only reason Kotake has a job is because his father owns a large shipping company who COD has an account with. His game playing has affected the office performance as he uses up so much bandwidth. Haven't seen him since the second show when he was locked in an isolated room.

Sakurako Konishi as Tomomi Itahashi.... Another inept employee who pushed her work off onto others, her main passion is her cat Mocha. At the beginning of the fifth show Itabashi had resigned and it was mainly because she was scared of being hurt like the others.

Yasuyuki Maekawa as Isamu Wakatsuki.... The president of the COD company and a former star soccer player. A very intelligent man whose post sports career hadn't gone as well as it should have. That is until he met his wife Erina who is the daughter of the man who found COD and thus Wakatsuki became the president. Has had many affairs and his wife is pregnant, at the beginning of the fourth show he resigned and why is in the third episode's recap.

Rika Adachi as Saeki Maho: The secretary to the president and the pair did have an affair. Saeki is currently dating a congressman's son who is kind of a sleazy man. She was jealous of Mitsu and wanted to bring her down, needless to say that didn't happen!

Satoru Matsuo as Masaya Hashimoto.... We only saw him in the first episode but his name will be mentioned often. He was the arrogant manager of the Planning and Development department whom all despised and he ruthlessly would humiliate his employees. Hashimoto may have been a key reason for Yugo killing himself but Mitsu got her revenge in the first show!

Previous recaps:

After a few detours the last two episodes with some minor stories we're back to the main one and glad we are as it's so much more interesting, Just two more shows to go after this one to find out if Yugo had committed suicide by himself or was he perhaps pushed off the roof of the COD building? The previous episode ended with those top two screenshots, that's of Saito saying he killed Mitsu's husband Yugo! He blew that out of proportion but Saito did meet Yugo on the rooftop shortly before his death. The pair just had a quick chat as Yugo was eating his breakfast  but Saito did bring up the point of he'd rather die than keep working for their cruel manager Hashimoto! To Saito the word Die may have triggered Yugo to take that plunge but personally don't think Saito had one thing to do with Yugo's death, neither did Mitsu so she still hasn't made much headway into the true cause.

Above in a few screenshots is Yugo's brother Youshi who finally got more screen time, I've liked his character to date and he's the kind of man you'd want backing you. There was something I wasn't sure about but it was confirmed to be true in this episode, that's of the brothers being Twins however they look nothing alike. After so much searching he's found the video to that fateful day on the COD rooftop which was February 5, 2021 and it's presently late March or early April 2022. The video showed Yugo going to the roof, shortly after it showed Saito joining him but leaving about five minutes later, Yugo was still alive at that point. In that top screenshot below was an object Youshi noticed on the roof and couldn't quite make out what it was until much later. If you look closely it appears to be a Vaper and could the person who dropped it have gone to the roof well before Yugo? The roof is where the employees go for their smoke breaks, at least four that worked with or knew Yugo were smokers so could that be the key clue Mitsu has been looking for?

Youshi's real job is being a detective but we've never seen at his job as he spends all of time looking for details of his brother's death. He's been impersonating as a security guard at COD and has been keeping tabs on the workers as they come and go, Youshi has even installed a camera in Mitsu's office! Youshi did head to the roof and noticed a timid worker named Sakai on a smoke break but he was no suspect. Above giving Mitsu yet more work is Saeki and we haven't seen her for a few episodes. She was the secretary to the president Wakatsuki until he resigned, his sordid tale is in the third recap. Saeki is still the secretary to the new president who we didn't meet but it's a woman. Helping out Mitsu on the project was the newbie Haruna who is in the bottom two screenshots, think she helped out to get advice. Haruna has quickly fallen head over heels for Saito and wonder if the crush is more because off him bailing her out twice. Haruna is quite a shy and meek woman, Mitsu said she would help her out trying to land Saito but I kind of wondered if her intentions were good and still do.

That's Haruna above and for probably the first time ever she asked a man out to dinner. That of course was Saito who at first refused but Haruna said it was work related, Saito was a bit leery about it but in the end agreed. Which was a mistake on his part as Haruna loves to guzzle beer which is fine if you can hold your alcohol but she couldn't. After leaving the restaurant she couldn't even walk five feet and wonder if that may not have been a bit of play acting by Haruna, not knowing what to do Saito brought her to a hotel! A quick shower seemed to revive Haruna and you can see how she looks below, once she removed her glasses she looked so different and how she's (un)dressed helped too! Don't know what was going on in Saito's mind but during that shower he made a video call to Mitsu using his tablet, she could see exactly what was going on in the room! To say that Haruna was embarrassed to the Nth degree would be an understatement and Saito was just covering himself, not much covered Haruna and he quickly left once he saw she was semi recovered.

There were a few scenes, like the above one, where you wondered what was the point of them? Perhaps nothing for now but they could be leading up to key events in the final two episodes. For instance above Youshi warned Mitsu to watch out for Haruna after that hotel room incident, I think Youshi is right as there's something odd about Haruna which hasn't been revealed yet. If you want a detective on a case Youshi is your man as he's uncovered a few more details about some COD employees. There's six who when they arrive at the building don't go to their office immediately, some go out for a smoke break which may be the key detail to finding out the truth behind Yugo's death. There's a photo of the six in the fourth screenshot, few can be eliminated but there's a few suspects on it which soon gets whittled to one.

The following day at the COD offices Haruna was of course so apologetic and I'm a bit surprised she even showed up at work! Arriving on the scene during their chat was Saeki demanding to know where her finished project was? Mitsu had just forgotten to e-mail it to her but will in a few minutes. However Haruna had helped her on the project and said don't worry, she'll send it for her but I'm kind of wondering will she or if Haruna does send will it be the right project? Nice not knowing what happens in a future episode as it keeps you wondering. As the show ended Mitsu noticed Saeki's flashy small handbag, it's not like the object we saw in a screenshot well above but it could hold that Vaper which Youshi thinks was on the roof. If so that could connect Saeki with being there at the time of Yugo's death, at this point both Mitsu and Youshi have made the secretary their number one suspect. So ends this recap and a much better show after the last two had strayed away from the main story. It's now Thursday and will have the final two recaps for this fine series on Sunday.
