Konnichiwa and Annyeong Haseyo minna-san

Hope that's correct above but what I'm saying is welcome everyone. May 10, 2019 is the first day of this blog and many may know me from 'Nao Kanzaki and Friends'... aitoda.com. There I have such a mix of things and finally decided to branch out with just a blog devoted to Japanese and Korean dramas. Will also be having some film reviews but one thing you won't see are any J-Pop idols or gravure models except for their dramas, this blog is dedicated 100% to dramas and films.

Also actresses as will be having many, many posts for them. Such as them appearing at events, mag spreads, interview pics and whatever else. So you should be seeing a lot of my bigger long time faves such as Erika Toda, Park Min-Young, Lee Yeon-Hee, Tsubasa Honda and too many others to count. The first few weeks there many not be too many posts for new dramas as I'll be copying many recaps from the old blog along with some film reviews and actress posts.

Won't be going too far back, perhaps to 2015 with a few exceptions and will have an entire series in a row to make it easy to follow. Did find it a problem completing series at the Nao Kanzaki blog, won't be doing that here as all the series will have a post for every episode. Thanks for visiting, it'll will be a work in progress for a while here but hopefully not for too long. Comments are also appreciated, like to know your opinions on dramas and for any recommendations you may have.

News and upcoming projects

Should have done this on my Aitoda blog which is to let viewers know what's going on. Seems like a good way to let everyone know if I'll be taking a break, what to look forward to and any other tidbits.

Updating update, May 19th:

Whew, have finally finished transferring over enough posts from the Aitoda blog. May be a few here and there in the future for some new that's being introduced but there shouldn't be too many. Have also included announcers for women that I'll be posting about as my top two current faves just happen to be in that profession.

The first five episodes of '3-Nen A Gumi' have now been posted. For series over five shows will be doing two batches of them as I figure ten posts are way too many to read through during one sitting so will have the second half of the drama coming up in 2-3 weeks, highly recommend the show.

June 4th.... Have written up the recaps for episodes 7 and 8 of the '3-Nen A Gumi' show and will have those long with episode eight by June 6th. Up next for Korean dramas is up in the air but leaning towards a pair of shorter series which will be either "Splish Splash Love" or "The Universe's Star".

Haruka Fukuhara: Had vowed not to sleep until....

.... she qualified for this year's faves list, looks like she's earned the right to a forty hour nap!!!! What a stretch it's been for Haruka as this is her third post in two weeks and can't think of the last time someone has done that. Up until then she had only three regular posts for 2021 so had given up hope she'd be eligible for this year's faves list which would have been such a disappointment. But the lack of posts doesn't mean it's been a slow year for Haruka as she's been in four dramas plus the last month has had about ten new CM's. So while it's just been six regular posts have also had two for a film she starred in plus eleven for dramas so actually the total has been nineteen for the year.

Hmmmm, though Haruka is such a mega fave of mine a top five position won't be happening this year. In 2019 she finished in the eighth spot, moved up to seventh last year and was really hoping she'd be battling for this year's #1 position. That didn't happen and there are more deserving faves this year so if she can end up around tenth that'd be okay as I had lost hope she'd even qualify. So this being Haruka's third post in two weeks means there aren't too many activities but do have a little over sixty new pics and I wouldn't be surprised if she has 2-3 more posts this year. For some reason had forgotten Haruka had her own YT channel, she also has a fan club. Was checking out some of her newer videos which are entertaining, especially the golf and Fall outfit videos and here's the link to her site.

Above is the link to another video, two weeks ago had a mini spread for the With magazine but didn't realize there was also a video which also features another fave of mine.

Haruka's current drama is titled "Unlucky Girl", for the third time this year she has the lead role in a series. Have viewed three episodes and what a fun show it is except there's ne problem. The drama is being subbed but can't get to them as I'm not a member of that site and would rather not join it, can anyone help out? But have a feeling I'll eventually get them and have noticed he dramas/films often get subbed many months after the fact. Haruka plays the main role of Sachi and as the title says is one unlucky girl along with her two new friends.

Screenshots here are from the second episode, four have now aired and it also stars an ex-Nogi member. Sachi works at a lottery kiosk and it was rebuilt for this second show because in the first episode it burned down! While her two new mates have had relationship problems Sachi never has for she's never had a boyfriend, didn't appear she had even been on a date. That is until this show as she went on a group date with her two friends, she got stuck with some guy she could have sworn was at the City Hall getting a marriage license. That date of course went so awry, especially when a pair of Yakuza men sat at the opposite table. Before Sachi knew it her date had made one very angry and in the midst of trying to diffuse a fight a cake was smashed into her face which are the bottom two screenshots. Will end up recapping this series but who knows when, could be two weeks from now or next year.

Earlier this year reviewed Haruka's 2019 film "My Girlfriend is a Serial Killer", she had the lead role in that and highly recommend it. Only one mag spread for 2021 which means no new one for today, let's go back in time again for this fine set from the May 3, 2019 issue of Young Magazine.

Haruka does quite a bit of voice acting and the first drama I saw her in was "Koe Girl" from 2018 which is another thing highly recommended. These superb pics are from the October 29th premiere of the anime movie "Listen to Ai's singing voice", she voiced the character of Amano.

The live action "Hula Girls" movie came out in 2006, lot of people thought it was a terrific film but to me it was just so-so and did view it twice. There's a new anime version of it coming out on December 3rd titled "Hula Fulla Dance" and in this version Haruka voices the lead character of Hiwa. Yesterday the first screening of the anime movie took place and hoping there will be a few more events for it this month. Plenty of fabulous pics from the event followed by a video of it, I like the other woman in the video who is mainly a voice actress whose name is Karen Miyama. She's never had a post but have known about her for a few years so think I'll be working on a post or two for her.
