Konnichiwa and Annyeong Haseyo minna-san

Konnichiwa and Annyeong Haseyo minna-san

Hope that's correct above but what I'm saying is welcome everyone. May 10, 2019 is the first day of this blog and many may know me from 'Nao Kanzaki and Friends'... aitoda.com. There I have such a mix of things and finally decided to branch out with just a blog devoted to Japanese and Korean dramas. Will also be having some film reviews but one thing you won't see are any J-Pop idols or gravure models except for their dramas, this blog is dedicated 100% to dramas and films.

Also actresses as will be having many, many posts for them. Such as them appearing at events, mag spreads, interview pics and whatever else. So you should be seeing a lot of my bigger long time faves such as Erika Toda, Park Min-Young, Lee Yeon-Hee, Tsubasa Honda and too many others to count. The first few weeks there many not be too many posts for new dramas as I'll be copying many recaps from the old blog along with some film reviews and actress posts.

Won't be going too far back, perhaps to 2015 with a few exceptions and will have an entire series in a row to make it easy to follow. Did find it a problem completing series at the Nao Kanzaki blog, won't be doing that here as all the series will have a post for every episode. Thanks for visiting, it'll will be a work in progress for a while here but hopefully not for too long. Comments are also appreciated, like to know your opinions on dramas and for any recommendations you may have.

News and upcoming projects

Should have done this on my Aitoda blog which is to let viewers know what's going on. Seems like a good way to let everyone know if I'll be taking a break, what to look forward to and any other tidbits.

Updating update, May 19th:

Whew, have finally finished transferring over enough posts from the Aitoda blog. May be a few here and there in the future for some new that's being introduced but there shouldn't be too many. Have also included announcers for women that I'll be posting about as my top two current faves just happen to be in that profession.

The first five episodes of '3-Nen A Gumi' have now been posted. For series over five shows will be doing two batches of them as I figure ten posts are way too many to read through during one sitting so will have the second half of the drama coming up in 2-3 weeks, highly recommend the show.

June 4th.... Have written up the recaps for episodes 7 and 8 of the '3-Nen A Gumi' show and will have those long with episode eight by June 6th. Up next for Korean dramas is up in the air but leaning towards a pair of shorter series which will be either "Splish Splash Love" or "The Universe's Star".

'Top Ten Faves' countdown for 2019.... #9, Mio Imada

Starting to zip through these at a good pace now and think the post for #8 will be tomorrow which will put us many days ahead of schedule. That next post should be a top notch one but so isn't this position and to date this could be the best of the twelve posts done so far, perhaps slightly ahead of #17. Mio has really come out of nowhere to an extent, she's been around since 2016 but hadn't done any posts for her until October 2018 and now she already has thirteen posts.
She's someone who is going to be around for a long time and she's already proved to be a huge fave of so many of you viewers. She's another 'shortie' who has such an incredible figure on her and have some superb new pics to prove that today as her second photobook is coming out next month. Said 'shortie' which is somewhat true as her height is just 157 cm which I think makes her the third shortest to make the list. But Mio is just so incredibly alluring and in the upcoming years I can almost see her having a permanent spot in the top five. She'll be turning 23 next March 5th and think another big fave also has a birthday on that date.
EDIT: Almost forgot to mention that Mio was 11th in all four preliminary posts but think she's done enough to pass a couple of gals and did deserve to be in the top ten.

Don't be alarmed as this is just a mini recap but did view Mio's guest appearance on episode five of the "Nippon Noir" series which is still airing. She reprised her role as Suwa from the '3-Nen A Gumi' drama that aired earlier this year and would say that's my number one Japanese show of the year. Like many of the students in the series Suwa was kind of an oddball and much of the mysterious plot revolved around her.
She had been dating a much older man who was the leader of the Berumuzu(?) gang but Suwa dated him just do get ahead in the modeling world as somehow the man had many contacts. He was named Masaomi and like Suwa had a cameo in episode five of "Nippon Noir". Many of the characters from the original series did though the two shows really don't have much in common, #8 on the list had a cameo in the seventh show.
Masaomi ended up being gunned down in this episode unknown to Suwa who briefly met him at a bar, the events took place six months after '3-Nen' ended. Suwa was just on the screen for two minutes and her modeling career seems to be doing well. Have viewed 2 1/2 episodes but don't plan on watching the entire series which seems to be such an odd one. Will say it's one of the more violent dramas I've ever seen as there's so many killings but perhaps it's just been the shows I've watched.

Will also have some screenshots for #8's post, the two gals are good friends off screen but surprisingly didn't find more pics than these which are from the set of '3-Nen'.

Have a little bit of a lot of things as Mio is one of the busier actresses around though she does do just as much modeling work, have over sixty new pics for today. Let's get to some of those new modeling pics such as these for Tiffany.

Plus some from the GRL site and have had many others in Mio's previous posts.

Mio's second photobook will be released on January 21st which isn't the best of dates as a popular Nogi member also has a book coming out on that day. Sure we'll be seeing her in many mag spreads to promote the PB and it's a bit of a surprise that she has a gravure book coming out. That's because it appeared Mio had retired from doing gravure spreads as she hadn't done any of them for about ten months but doing them is one major reason she became so popular. Have a few promo pics for the PB and does she get your blood boiling or what(!), she certainly does to me....

Pics for the book were taken in Thailand. Mio didn't do much acting up until this year but has been in three dramas plus has two films coming out next February. She's also just tried her hand for the first time doing a voice in an anime movie which is titled "Hiroaka- Heroes Rising" which is coming out on December 20th. But on December 5th the main cast had a special screening for the film at the Toyosu PIT in Tokyo, in the film she voices the character of Slice. Here's some pics from the screening and will be back with pics from it's December 20th premiere, so far no fave on this year's list has had a post after their one for the list.

We've hit the finale and will end off with a superb mag spread, her first gravure one since January. These feature some outtake pics from Mio's upcoming PB and positive we'll be seeing her in many more spreads, this set is from the December 13th issue of Friday as she's also their cover girl. After the pics have a new CM for the 'Monster Strike' smartphone game which features a long behind the scenes segment.
