Konnichiwa and Annyeong Haseyo minna-san

Hope that's correct above but what I'm saying is welcome everyone. May 10, 2019 is the first day of this blog and many may know me from 'Nao Kanzaki and Friends'... aitoda.com. There I have such a mix of things and finally decided to branch out with just a blog devoted to Japanese and Korean dramas. Will also be having some film reviews but one thing you won't see are any J-Pop idols or gravure models except for their dramas, this blog is dedicated 100% to dramas and films.

Also actresses as will be having many, many posts for them. Such as them appearing at events, mag spreads, interview pics and whatever else. So you should be seeing a lot of my bigger long time faves such as Erika Toda, Park Min-Young, Lee Yeon-Hee, Tsubasa Honda and too many others to count. The first few weeks there many not be too many posts for new dramas as I'll be copying many recaps from the old blog along with some film reviews and actress posts.

Won't be going too far back, perhaps to 2015 with a few exceptions and will have an entire series in a row to make it easy to follow. Did find it a problem completing series at the Nao Kanzaki blog, won't be doing that here as all the series will have a post for every episode. Thanks for visiting, it'll will be a work in progress for a while here but hopefully not for too long. Comments are also appreciated, like to know your opinions on dramas and for any recommendations you may have.

News and upcoming projects

Should have done this on my Aitoda blog which is to let viewers know what's going on. Seems like a good way to let everyone know if I'll be taking a break, what to look forward to and any other tidbits.

Updating update, May 19th:

Whew, have finally finished transferring over enough posts from the Aitoda blog. May be a few here and there in the future for some new that's being introduced but there shouldn't be too many. Have also included announcers for women that I'll be posting about as my top two current faves just happen to be in that profession.

The first five episodes of '3-Nen A Gumi' have now been posted. For series over five shows will be doing two batches of them as I figure ten posts are way too many to read through during one sitting so will have the second half of the drama coming up in 2-3 weeks, highly recommend the show.

June 4th.... Have written up the recaps for episodes 7 and 8 of the '3-Nen A Gumi' show and will have those long with episode eight by June 6th. Up next for Korean dramas is up in the air but leaning towards a pair of shorter series which will be either "Splish Splash Love" or "The Universe's Star".

Tsubasa Honda: Yet again another overdue post....

Have used that 'overdue' on a few of her other posts but wonder if I'm mistaken with that? Tsubasa's first post ever was done in February 2013 and bet no other actress has topped that total since then. Her first few posts were for the "Piece" drama that aired at the end of 2012. It was Tsubasa's first lead role and to me it's still her best drama to date. As a matter of fact I'd have that series in my top twenty shows from the past decade and that's a drama I highly recommend. Didn't figure out the current stats but have mentioned this on occasion a few times. Which is that during that nine year stretch since her first post Tsubasa has been the least popular woman I post about and in a way that doesn't shock me. You never see gravure pics which is actually a positive, so though not a fave of many here she certainly is to me as her 170+ posts in nine years is probably more than any one else save for some Nogi members. Before I forget on June 27th she'll be hitting the age of.... thirty!!!!

The first yearly fave's list was done in 2015, of course Tsubasa made it and also for the next five years so that six years on the list is a record.... for now. But though she qualified last year it was the first time a list didn't include her and have to admit I was kind of getting bored with Tsubasa's activities. Not that her pics were ever bad or overly bland but after a while they all kind of began looking the same and wished she would 'vamp' it up now and again. That hasn't happened but do have some terrific pics for today and will have another post for her in three weeks as I'm holding some things back.

Let's get on with the new happenings and all of the pics have come out since January. Tsubasa has never been much of an Instagram poster but has been a bit busier as of late.

If there's one thing Tsubasa has been known for the past decade is how much modeling she's done. But that's slowed down quite a bit the last year or so but with Spring/Summer collections coming out hopefully that means we'll see many pics in that vein soon. Uniqlo just signed her as a model and their pics are always superb, just four new ones to date that came out two weeks ago.

But there are plenty of modeling pics at the More magazine site but will hold on to those and instead have one of their spreads with this being from their April issue.

Also have her spread from their May issue which will also be in her next post. Tsubasa still remains popular in Japan as she's often a cover girl, she has that honor for the February issue of Spring.

Another Spring set which is from their April issue. Am also holding on to her spread from the May issue so perhaps there could be two upcoming posts.

One thing I've really missed over the last two years is Tsubasa attending events. She's been at a few but not nearly as many as in the past and I've always thought she looks so fabulous at them. "Radiation House" is a drama which has had two seasons and on April 29th there will also be a movie for the series. On April 4th there was an event for the film and didn't Tsubasa look so grand at it? To me she did and hopefully there will be a screening for the film and in her next post will have pics from the movie's premiere. Following this batch is a short video of the event.
