Konnichiwa and Annyeong Haseyo minna-san

Hope that's correct above but what I'm saying is welcome everyone. May 10, 2019 is the first day of this blog and many may know me from 'Nao Kanzaki and Friends'... aitoda.com. There I have such a mix of things and finally decided to branch out with just a blog devoted to Japanese and Korean dramas. Will also be having some film reviews but one thing you won't see are any J-Pop idols or gravure models except for their dramas, this blog is dedicated 100% to dramas and films.

Also actresses as will be having many, many posts for them. Such as them appearing at events, mag spreads, interview pics and whatever else. So you should be seeing a lot of my bigger long time faves such as Erika Toda, Park Min-Young, Lee Yeon-Hee, Tsubasa Honda and too many others to count. The first few weeks there many not be too many posts for new dramas as I'll be copying many recaps from the old blog along with some film reviews and actress posts.

Won't be going too far back, perhaps to 2015 with a few exceptions and will have an entire series in a row to make it easy to follow. Did find it a problem completing series at the Nao Kanzaki blog, won't be doing that here as all the series will have a post for every episode. Thanks for visiting, it'll will be a work in progress for a while here but hopefully not for too long. Comments are also appreciated, like to know your opinions on dramas and for any recommendations you may have.

News and upcoming projects

Should have done this on my Aitoda blog which is to let viewers know what's going on. Seems like a good way to let everyone know if I'll be taking a break, what to look forward to and any other tidbits.

Updating update, May 19th:

Whew, have finally finished transferring over enough posts from the Aitoda blog. May be a few here and there in the future for some new that's being introduced but there shouldn't be too many. Have also included announcers for women that I'll be posting about as my top two current faves just happen to be in that profession.

The first five episodes of '3-Nen A Gumi' have now been posted. For series over five shows will be doing two batches of them as I figure ten posts are way too many to read through during one sitting so will have the second half of the drama coming up in 2-3 weeks, highly recommend the show.

June 4th.... Have written up the recaps for episodes 7 and 8 of the '3-Nen A Gumi' show and will have those long with episode eight by June 6th. Up next for Korean dramas is up in the air but leaning towards a pair of shorter series which will be either "Splish Splash Love" or "The Universe's Star".

Minami Hamabe: Few more recent activities....

Have finally reached the end of this marathon, this will be the last post to be written up but think it'll be the fifth one you read. Hopefully won't do something like this again and have to place the blame of my and other blogger's woes on the shoulders of Blogger and their impending change to a new version. Not much more I can say about it as the moaning is probably getting a bit tiresome and am just praying there won't be many issues as this is a fairly simple blog compared to others.

These past two months have drawn more views than ever, don't think it's because of the health crisis these days as so many are no longer 'confined' plus it's Summer when there's many other things to do. But will be setting a record for the fastest period of time that this blog has received a million views and that should be taking place on Tuesday, figures I may not be around to take screenshots of it happening. Whenever a record is set for the fastest million do a special 'thank you' post to the all of you viewers and always have some sort of special list or ranking.

However in the past week have done three lists,. one for the second fave's preliminary list and two for the most popular posts and woman, three in all and couldn't think of any other to do. But came up with an odd one which is.... 'Who are the ten least popular faves I post often about?'. That actually may work out quite well and am curious to see who you viewers enjoy the least but have a clue who #1 will be. Sadly have a feeling Minami will be high(or low?) on the list as her posts only get a so-so amount of views at best. So will be working on that post after the new record is set and should be having that on Thursday.

In less than a week Minami will be celebrating a birthday and could have waited on this post. But there wasn't enough variety in the eleven posts for today so wanted to do this kind which I prefer doing over any others. Last post for her was just eight days ago and in a way you could consider this to be that post's #2 as it's mainly a continuation of those pics and events but every pic for today was not in that last post and there's close to seventy today. "Love Me, Love Me Not" is the title of Minami's latest film that came out on the 14th. Last post had many interview pics, have some more for today and these are from the 'Live Door' site.

More interview pics for the film from the 'NLab. Media' site. In December Minami will be in another film titled "The Promised Neverland" and she has the lead role in the movie. Looks quite interesting as it's a horror/thriller film set in an orphanage where the children are raised to be.... butchered!!!!

Back in 2018 Minami was in the "Gakeppuchi Hotel" drama which was a bit disappointing. It had such a strong cast yet felt it was rather boring and too slow moving. Her character of Haru was the best part of the drama, she played a rookie pastry chef and in her latest drama....

.... she also plays a young chef though not a pastry one. Name of this drama is "Watashitachi wa Douka Shiteru" aka Cursed in Love. Just skimmed through the second episode and how I wish it was subbed, some shows you can get away without them but not this one in the least. Minami plays the role of Nao who has a very dark past as her father was killed when she was five and was her mother the killer?

She also had a friend at the time who witnessed the crime, fifteen years later they've met each other again and they're so different. While Nao has had to struggle since the day of her father's murder her friend Tsubaki is living a life of ease as his family is quite rich. His mother does not want Nao back in her son's and even tried to bribe Nao to leave leave town but was turned down. Shows like this usually do get subbed but not often right away, hope that's the case this time as what an interesting storyline it appears to have. Episodes are a bit long at over fifty minutes.

Don't think an event will be happening next Saturday when Minami celebrates her b-day, last year she held an event for her 2019-20 calendar.

Some outtake pics from the photo shoot for the....

... September issue of Jelly. Minami is the cover girl and this is one superb set of pics but wonder if this is why she's not more popular here? She never does any kind of gravure spreads nor pics which is the biggest reason I like Minami as she's such a breath of fresh air after so many Idol posts but bet her conservative style is why her posts don't draw a huge amount of views.

Last post had some pics from the premiere of the "Love Me, Love Me Not" film. Have many more for today and none of them are repeats from that recent post. The event took place on August 14th at the TOHO Cinemas in Roppongi, there was no audience but it was shown live to over a hundred other cinemas. After the premiere pics have a new Minami CM from Majolica that came out two days ago and she must have at least one new CM a month.
