Konnichiwa and Annyeong Haseyo minna-san

Konnichiwa and Annyeong Haseyo minna-san

Hope that's correct above but what I'm saying is welcome everyone. May 10, 2019 is the first day of this blog and many may know me from 'Nao Kanzaki and Friends'... aitoda.com. There I have such a mix of things and finally decided to branch out with just a blog devoted to Japanese and Korean dramas. Will also be having some film reviews but one thing you won't see are any J-Pop idols or gravure models except for their dramas, this blog is dedicated 100% to dramas and films.

Also actresses as will be having many, many posts for them. Such as them appearing at events, mag spreads, interview pics and whatever else. So you should be seeing a lot of my bigger long time faves such as Erika Toda, Park Min-Young, Lee Yeon-Hee, Tsubasa Honda and too many others to count. The first few weeks there many not be too many posts for new dramas as I'll be copying many recaps from the old blog along with some film reviews and actress posts.

Won't be going too far back, perhaps to 2015 with a few exceptions and will have an entire series in a row to make it easy to follow. Did find it a problem completing series at the Nao Kanzaki blog, won't be doing that here as all the series will have a post for every episode. Thanks for visiting, it'll will be a work in progress for a while here but hopefully not for too long. Comments are also appreciated, like to know your opinions on dramas and for any recommendations you may have.

News and upcoming projects

Should have done this on my Aitoda blog which is to let viewers know what's going on. Seems like a good way to let everyone know if I'll be taking a break, what to look forward to and any other tidbits.

Updating update, May 19th:

Whew, have finally finished transferring over enough posts from the Aitoda blog. May be a few here and there in the future for some new that's being introduced but there shouldn't be too many. Have also included announcers for women that I'll be posting about as my top two current faves just happen to be in that profession.

The first five episodes of '3-Nen A Gumi' have now been posted. For series over five shows will be doing two batches of them as I figure ten posts are way too many to read through during one sitting so will have the second half of the drama coming up in 2-3 weeks, highly recommend the show.

June 4th.... Have written up the recaps for episodes 7 and 8 of the '3-Nen A Gumi' show and will have those long with episode eight by June 6th. Up next for Korean dramas is up in the air but leaning towards a pair of shorter series which will be either "Splish Splash Love" or "The Universe's Star".

Haruka Fukuhara: Few recent tidbits....

If there are 35,000 views in the next five days then a record will be set for the quickest million views, have set a new record three times in the past two years. Should that happen then will have a special post as always and will throw in a bonus list too. That'll be the first preliminary list for this year's top faves and we're deep enough into the year for that to happen. Number one from last year isn't eligible but the other nineteen faves who made the list of course are. Would say that as of now seven wouldn't be making this year's list which is good and bad. Good as I do like new blood on the yearly list but hate to see faves of mine not make it for whatever reason.
No worries about Haruka making the list, last year she was in the eighth position. For now she'd probably be in that same spot, perhaps one lower but of course there's a long way to go in 2020. This is her fifth post for the year, she just needs one more to become eligible which should be a piece of cake and hope she ends up with fifteen or so. Last year viewed three Haruka dramas, this year none so far even though she just finished one but am not planning on viewing it though that could change. This may be one of the smaller posts of the year as there's only about 25 new pics since her last post though as always have found some terrific oldies you've never seen before.

Whew, as I've mentioned a few times Haruka just may have the most attractive face I've ever seen, whew again! Her fan base has really grown here as her March 24th post has been in the top ten for most views the past two weeks, easy to see why as she's such a likable young woman. Last month Haruka released her second single, didn't sell as well as her first one that came out last August but sales of everything in Japan are naturally lower these days.
In a surprise it was announced Haruka has a third single coming out in June. But fans will be able to hear the tune well before that as it's the theme song to the anime series "Kaguya-sama: Love is War" and the title of the song is "Kaze ni Fukarete". The show began on April 11th, you can order a download version of it on April 26th while the physical copy will be coming out in June.

That's the only promo pic for it so far. These here are from a March 30th interview with the 'OK Music' site talking about her second single.

Wow, that bottom pic is something else.... then again, aren't most of her pics!!!! Of course no recent posts have included new pics from events, concerts and the like due to the ban in Japan and Korea on them. So have been including some oldies which are mostly new for here and bet not many have seen them. Unsure what the status of the next 'Girls Award' show is which was going to take place in May and it's usually the biggest one of the year. Haruka always makes an appearance at them and this fabulous set is from their May 2018 Spring/Summer show held at the Makuhari Messe Hall in Chiba.

Also am not sure of the status of the next 'Tokyo Girls Collection' show that was supposed to be held on April 25th. They had a Twitter page set up with all of the actresses/models/Idols who were going to attend but the pics of everyone have been removed so my guess is the show has been postponed or cancelled, their next one will be on July 4th. So will go back once again with some older pics that are from the March 2019 TGC show.

The main reason for this post was this new mag spread, didn't want it to become dated plus Haruka doesn't appear in enough of them but when she does the sets rate an A++++. She's the cover girl for the April 15th edition of Kansai Walker.

Will end off with a new Haruka CM for Calbee, it features a short behind the scenes segment of her preparing a bowl of cereal(!).... more enjoyable than it sounds.
