Konnichiwa and Annyeong Haseyo minna-san

Hope that's correct above but what I'm saying is welcome everyone. May 10, 2019 is the first day of this blog and many may know me from 'Nao Kanzaki and Friends'... aitoda.com. There I have such a mix of things and finally decided to branch out with just a blog devoted to Japanese and Korean dramas. Will also be having some film reviews but one thing you won't see are any J-Pop idols or gravure models except for their dramas, this blog is dedicated 100% to dramas and films.

Also actresses as will be having many, many posts for them. Such as them appearing at events, mag spreads, interview pics and whatever else. So you should be seeing a lot of my bigger long time faves such as Erika Toda, Park Min-Young, Lee Yeon-Hee, Tsubasa Honda and too many others to count. The first few weeks there many not be too many posts for new dramas as I'll be copying many recaps from the old blog along with some film reviews and actress posts.

Won't be going too far back, perhaps to 2015 with a few exceptions and will have an entire series in a row to make it easy to follow. Did find it a problem completing series at the Nao Kanzaki blog, won't be doing that here as all the series will have a post for every episode. Thanks for visiting, it'll will be a work in progress for a while here but hopefully not for too long. Comments are also appreciated, like to know your opinions on dramas and for any recommendations you may have.

News and upcoming projects

Should have done this on my Aitoda blog which is to let viewers know what's going on. Seems like a good way to let everyone know if I'll be taking a break, what to look forward to and any other tidbits.

Updating update, May 19th:

Whew, have finally finished transferring over enough posts from the Aitoda blog. May be a few here and there in the future for some new that's being introduced but there shouldn't be too many. Have also included announcers for women that I'll be posting about as my top two current faves just happen to be in that profession.

The first five episodes of '3-Nen A Gumi' have now been posted. For series over five shows will be doing two batches of them as I figure ten posts are way too many to read through during one sitting so will have the second half of the drama coming up in 2-3 weeks, highly recommend the show.

June 4th.... Have written up the recaps for episodes 7 and 8 of the '3-Nen A Gumi' show and will have those long with episode eight by June 6th. Up next for Korean dramas is up in the air but leaning towards a pair of shorter series which will be either "Splish Splash Love" or "The Universe's Star".

Nogizaka46: 'Nogizaka 46 Hours TV' with Minami Umezawa....

Had a post about two weeks ago for Minami but will be having another soon too featuring many of her Nogi activities from this year along with hopefully some new items. Do have to say I've really been enjoying this latest 'Nogi 46 Hours TV' show more then their others, think this was the group's third one? Seems there was more individual segments and the ones I've viewed have all been quite good though I wish they were a tad longer, today's lasted 12:40. Think Minami may have done another solo segment along with a few others paired up with more members but don't think they'll be subbed, Beam Subs has been doing most of these segments.

As was the case for the other segments recapped won't be going into too much detail and will be letting the screenshots speak for themselves. But didn't take as many for this segment, 49 which is a lot for a 12 minute period but the others were all 60+. For her special segment Minami took a camping trip and traveled to Okutama which is in the extreme western part of Tokyo. It's the largest area in the city and also has it's highest mountain though not many people reside there as it's mainly an area for vacationing, really looked like it was far outside of Tokyo.
This segment obviously wasn't filmed live and she had to cram a lot of camping into 12+  minutes. Of all places for Minami to travel to the camping site was called the Kawai Campsite in the town's.... Umezawa area which is truly the name of the location but don't think it was named after Minami. There was no time for small talk with only twelve minutes so Minami went right into having fun(?). Her agenda was to do four things which of course would have taken much longer than twelve minutes as she was far from being an expert camper but did catch on rather quickly.

Building a tent turned out to be the most difficult of her goals and bet it took a half hour or so though we only saw bits of it. Minami's major problem was hammering the six stakes into the ground which mainly was because she was using the wrong hammer. At 170 cm she's Nogi's biggest member so if she had a hard time what would any other gal have done? Eventually she was successful and never looked as though she had help in any of her endeavors. The tent was erected successfully but with one minor snag as she forgot to put a sheet under the tent first which she didn't notice until it was finished, made for a very hard floor.

Making a fire should have been the hardest task according to some graphics as it's almost impossible for a newbie camper to do. But it didn't take Minami all that long to create a fire and she tried the method that cavemen did by using a flint to make a spark. The flint was a modern one but I was impressed that she was able to get a fire going using one, seems she was quite shocked too that she was able to get a fire going which will lead into her next item on the agenda.

It's food time(!) which is what Mianmi was looking forward to more than any other activity. And she brought a huge amount with her, so much she should have asked Nao to join her! There's a few good cooks I've noticed in Nogi over the years from their other variety shows and Minami certainly ranks up there. She created a few dishes and does food cook that quickly under a camp fire? Those bananas covered in chocolate looked yummy and as you can see she called a pair of her mates from Nogi.

Making food was third on the list but unfortunately there wasn't time for the final goal which was to put up a hammock and sleep in it. Shame this segment was only 12:40 in length as she traveled all the way there and yet only had a brief time to do everything. Hopefully more of Minami's adventure was taped so it can be shown on some future Nogi show. Plenty more screenshots here from her fun day and after this post is another segment from the special show that aired from June 19th to the 21st.
